“We’ve been buying Herb Fed produce for several years, their chickens all year round and at Christmas, rooster and turkey! This year was particularly noteworthy - the turkey was perfect, came well packed and well plucked (there was no need to use tweezers) and it was delicious! The rooster was equally amazingly tasty and again delivered on time. The instruction booklets for both the turkey and rooster were really helpful (we’ve kept them for next year the best we’ve found thus far). Overall, we recommend buying from Herb Fed!”

“The second year of enjoying a beautiful rooster from you. The delivery went well and the cooking instructions clear and accurate. I had to persuade my niece that 2 hours for a 5kg bird was sufficient: it was of course. Thank you. Your bird made Christmas.”

“Of all the turkeys we have bought over the years, both fresh and frozen and not just in the UK, this was without doubt the best one - tender, moist and great flavour. I can also highly recommend the Christmas chestnut and apple stuffing, we all agreed this was indeed "perfect"! Customer service was faultless and the turkey was delivered exactly to schedule.”

“The 8kg turkey we received for Christmas was a lovely solid bird. It cooked beautifully and was extremely tasty. It fed seven of us for Christmas dinner; gave us lovely cold meat for the following day; I was then able to bag and freeze ten further meals worth of turkey for four adults, and then boil up the carcass and make ten litres of soup. Not bad for one bird! Really cost-effective. Would strongly recommend.”

“Delivered on time, packaged very well, with chill pack still frozen. We were really pleased with the quality of the bird, we made gravy with the giblets and we were really surprised by how little time it took to cook, the cooking instructions were a real bonus, thank you. The taste and texture of the meat was superb, it carved beautifully and we managed to achieve the picture-perfect roast bird which was the centerpiece for Christmas lunch. Thank you. Definitely changed our minds and this will be our go-to for Christmas from now on!”

“The turkey crown was delicious with plenty of meat. It is a good job it was well packaged and stayed cool for two days. My only problem was with the carrier you used, DPD. On the day chosen for delivery, their driver made an early morning delivery to us from another company but he failed to realise that there was a second package for us, the turkey! Their website said the driver could not find us and would deliver the next day! So close to Christmas we are all busy and I had organised various appointments around the original delivery day I had chosen. So next day there was no one in to accept the delivery. In the end the driver did deliver next day but ignored the message of putting it in a safe place and left the box outside our house in full view of the road! Very poor service from your chosen carrier.”
