“We had two spatchcock chickens that were the best chicken I have ever tasted, not sure whether it was the husbandry or the cooking, maybe a bit of both??”

“I used to buy Herb Fed chickens from my local butcher, nr Horsham West Sussex, and thought that they were the best chickens I have eaten! When bird flu hit the supply stopped, and he has not supplied them since. Determined to get one, I found the website and ordered one online, it was excellent! We have decided to have one of these chickens for Christmas dinner this year; I can't give it more praise than that.”

“The flavour of the meat is incredible - so much nicer than anything you could buy in the supermarket. It arrived promptly and well packaged. We ordered carcasses too which made delicious stock and gravy. The whole chickens we bought were a really good size, in fact the chicken breast and thigh portions were also very large. We're extremely pleased with our order, for the quality it was good value. We will definitely order again.”

“We enjoy the chicken we receive from Herb Fed. The process of ordering and delivering works well. We missed the quality chicken from the company during the avian flu period. We wish the company good luck now they are in operations again.”

“As always great tasting chicken just like it used to taste, plus the added freshness of the herbs. Service very good & prompt. Always spoilt for choice & have to stop myself spendingfar too much. Recommend Herb Fed to anyone who will listen.”

“My first chicken box was well packed and presented. I placed all but one whole chicken into a freezer for later use and so most of the box contents have not yet been tried. I was, however, very pleased with the quality of the whole chicken. It was a nice plump bird with firm flesh and the taste when cooked was excellent.”

“The quality of the chicken is more than matched by the taste. Forget supermarket birds and do yourself a favour and buy from here. Perfect moist chicken with an amazing flavour. Anything else is a false economy.”

“Excellent in almost every way - slow growing birds that have at least a peek at life, free range, fed on a diet of herbs, resulting in 2.5kg of deliciousness. Packaging is good. Love the addition of the rosemary. Communication great. So why the 'almost'? Very minor. Protonmail has a problem with sender authentication, so the company needs to shake down their IT, to make it foolproof and protect them and us, the buyers, from unwanted guests.”

Hi Alwen, Thank you for your feedback - we are really pleased that you were delighted with the chicken. Thank you for bringing forward your concerns for our IT - especially in this day and age! It’s great that Proton Mail flags such emails but it’s due to us using Klaviyo (our email platform) rather than actually spoofing. I hope this addresses any concerns you may have.
