We are sorry to read that you were disappointed with the preparation of your rooster and thank you for your feedback. As you may have read, our Roosters were processed in a far more superior way in that they were game hung and dry plucked by hand and hence not all the quills were able to be removed and they appear different to other quality birds you may find. We hope the bird tasted wonderful and nonetheless are sorry that you were disappointed and appreciate feedback.

“This was the best turkey I have ever bought! I was initially a bit concerned that it only needed 2.5 hours cooking time, for a 6kg turkey, however I followed all the instructions and when I checked the temperature at the end it was definitely cooked. It was very moist and incredibly tasty.”

“Extremely disappointed. I thought I was buying a special cockerel which would be superior to the capons and Turkeys of previous years but I found it quite bland despite very carefully preparing it and cooking it. At the end of my Christmas dinner I felt so deflated and flat. I might as well have purchased a large chicken from my local butcher.”

“We were delighted by our Herb Fed rooster. It was delivered when requested and was roasted for our Christmas lunch with potatoes, onions, parsnips, artichokes, beetroot and brussel sprouts. The chicken was delicious, with a lovely flavour and moist texture. The 3.1kg bird easily fed 6 adults with a little left over. We are very pleased we got our chicken from Herb Fed as it helped make our Christmas lunch so enjoyable.”

“We enjoyed the cockerel very much. We are quite discerning about what we eat and we were not disappointed. It cooked well, the skin browned easily and it was delicious. We hope we can purchase one again next year. Thank you.”

“Just like last year it was absolutely a dream. My turkey ordered well in advance, delivered on arranged day and alerted to the time and first class packing. As for the turkey utterly delicious. Definitely spoiled can’t go anywhere else. Well done for giving us a great Christmas dinner. J & M Ingle & family”

“I have used herb fed for quite a few years now. The service is excellent I usually buy a whole turkey at Christmas, I follow the easy instructions and have a tasty, succulent bird every year. The fat makes delicious gravy”
