“Chicken was very good, unfortunately packaging contained polystyrene - most other companies are using recyclable/compostable packaging now. Makes me reconsider whether I would order from here again.”

Hi Ben, thank you for taking the time to post a review. The packaging is something that we are working hard to find a replacement for. At the moment we are working with several companies to trail alternatives that will keep our chicken at the correct temperate whilst in transit, (summer time can be a challenge). “Lovely tasty chicken, no nasty water when cooked. But the most important thing for me is that the chickens welfare is of the highest standards and I believe herb fed love their chickens.”

“It was my second order from Herb Fed and won't be the last. The order came well packed with a lot of care. To keep the chicken fresh and cold they added some ice pockets, so the delivery comes fresh and cold, better than going to the shop. The chicken is truly delicious. The flavour is delicate and elegant, the texture is a bit firm, soft to eat but not mushy like the supermarket chicken. The skin and fat smell gorgeous like a goood chicken! We usually order the big whole ones and some parts so it last us for more than a week. The chicken have plenty meat and the parts are quite large. My partner is very picky with meat but she devored the oven roasted wings to my surprise. We can't fault anything, the packing and delivery were excellent, the chicken taste beautifully and i believe the meat is really nutrious. Massive credits to the owners and the staff for their work!”

“We are fans of your chicken. The large box lasts for several weeks in our two person household. The taste is superior to the bulk of chicken we have sourced from different places. The herbs in the diet make a real difference. 👏👏🤗”

“I thought my order would be deilvered in an insulated box, alas the chicken was placed a blue plastic bag and then in a cardboard box. Arrived smelly :(”

Hello Yvette, thanks for your review. With regards to packaging this is something we are working hard to change. We are currently trialling various types of packaging, the priority is keeping the chicken cold during transit. This can be a challenge during the summer months. All the best from the Herb Fed Team

“I first purchased your chicken from my local butcher, growing up in Africa I know how the good chicken tastes like, your chickens so delicious, BBQ and today so yummy and juice, please don’t change what you feed your chickens so yummmy”

“Lovely Turkey,great taste ,quality meat .Very professional and well organised business .Collected in person .Arrived in a box suitable for placing in the fridge, included fresh herbs and handy information card .I would suggest the information card be placed outside of the box rather than next to the actual bird although it was possible to wipe it clean .Pricey .”

“How chicken use to be, before , I grew up eating chickens we reared, and Never liked what comes from most supermarkets and butchers, Herb fed tastes, and looks how chicken should, a relief to find poultry that’s amazing eating, but most importantly raised and cared for with respect”
