“Excellent quality meat! I have been searching for a supplier of good free range chicken for a while. Finding Herb Fed has been a revelation. The quality of everything they produce could not be beaten. Add to this that they are a local, independent company with great ethics, there is nothing not to like. One very happy customer!”

“Truly the best chicken I have tasted, knowing we are supporting a lovely family, makes me reorder every couple of weeks. Once you try it you never go back to buying chicken from a supermarket.”

“The Christmas Rooster we had from you was lovely - great flavour and beautifully moist. It did take longer to cook than suggested in the leaflet that came with the Rooster, needing an extra hour, but it was well worth waiting for.”

“The turkey arrived on the expected day and was beautifully presented and well plucked with only a few small barely erupted quills. It came with a great leaflet regarding cooking times etc It remained moist and full of flavour and was much enjoyed by all.”

“The delivery of the turkey was straightforward with ample notification by DPD. Samuel was the driver. The packaging was superb - not too big either. The cooking instructions were very simple and coincided with my own idea of how to cook a turkey. We took off the legs and boned and stuffed them which is one of our 'house' specialities. The turkey was superb - succulent and very tasty and, because we had ordered a large bird, there was plenty for sandwiches and the extra meal. Thank you for such a special product.”

“Can't fault the taste of the bird when it was cooked. It was delicious. But its presentation when I took it out of the box appalled me. Far too many burnt quills on the breast and legs - so no serving with skin on. Inside - very poorly prepared - worst I have ever come across and had to spend ages cleaning it out properly. There'd have to be an explanation before I'd consider ordering from you again.”

“After our butcher in North London closed down a couple of years ago - from whom we had always had an excellent turkey at Christmas - I have been looking for a worthy replacement. I came across Herb Fed and decided to give them a go. I have not regretted it. There was a good range of weights of turkey available, the ordering process was straightforward and delivery was efficient. Pricing also compared favourably with other options. It was also good to get a reassuring e-mail about a couple of weeks ahead of delivery to say that all was going to plan. The turkey was moist and succulent and tasted delicious. One small caveat - although the taste and flavour weren't affected, it was one of the most poorly plucked birds I have ever had and I had to spend a bit of time with the tweezers getting rid of the worst of the remaining quills! However, I will certainly be considering ordering from Herb Fed again next year.”

“A wonderful turkey crown - moist and full of flavour. My brother was still raving about it two days later; never tasted a turkey like it. Cooking instructions were important too, otherwise we might have overcooked it.”
