“Good quality timber accurately and beautifully prepared. Delivery time in hours not days so great service and many thanks. The half inch dowels were for repairing a broken Windsor chair and the 6mm dowels were for the spindle parts of Turkish-style Drop-Spindles used for the traditional way of hand spinning wool where accuracy and quality are paramount. I'm going to have fun. Peter Branford”

“I spent a lot of time searching on line for good quality timber after my local yard closed down, that was risky as I am fussy. However my fears are unfounded as G&S definitely know how to pick out good stuff.”

“I usually buy my spindle blanks from G&S as they are often better quality /finish than from other suppliers. The walnut blanks just received are excellent quality. I also bought a new slip strop with the wood order and that was cheaper than other sellers too. My main issue though is with delivery time and cost. Living in the far north highlands, it’s usually slow and expensive. I placed this last order over the weekend and received the order on the following Tuesday. You can’t beat that. Well done G&S - again!”
