“I ordered a selection of spindle blanks in various woods and sizes to use for turning into spurtles. Ordered over the weekend they arrived quickly and well packed to avoid damage in transit. I have not had chance to work all the different woods to date but the 32mm is ideal for what I want the blanks for with hardly any waste. The 44mm results in more waste, this was the smallest size available at the time of ordering, but I wanted to try both to see which works best for the intended purpose. So far I have only worked the Oak, Ash and Cherry. The quality is excellent and the wood, which is a pleasure to work turns beautifully. I have no hesitation in recommending G&S Timber and look forward to trying some of their more exotic timbers when they are available in the sizes I need.”
