“Good overnight delivery, dowels arrived in good condition but plastic glue bottle slightly damaged (not penetrated) and still usable (maybe requires a slightly stronger box). Tulipwood dowel cuts and shaves with a really nice finish similar to the hazel that I use for the same purpose. The oak dowel did not do so well because my round tenon cutter (cuts across the grain) left a pitted surface even though I had just sharpened it. The overall result is that I will definitely order more tulipwood dowels . . . . and glue :-)”

“I have not dealt with G&S Specialist Timber before. I wanted some brownish coloured 12.7mm dowel to plug some holes in 16th century beams, I didn’t expect walnut to be available but knew it would be a fair match to the existing beams. My order was quite small but it was very efficiently handled and I was kept updated with progress during delivery. It arrived as promised well packed and undamaged. Well done guys and thank you.”

“I ordered specialist dowling (60mm) and received an e-mail telling me that they were out of stock and asking whether I was prepared to wait the two weeks to produce the new stock. I agreed to wait and received my order within nine days. Top-quality product. Being informed that there would a slight delay in delivery meant I was able to rearrange the work. Very good service.”
