“The quality of the timber and it's milling is outstanding - beautiful wood and will be returning. My only gripe is that I was alerted at 7am by email on Monday morning that the timber would be arriving that day, and had a missed call from the delivery man at 8:10 saying that he was there waiting outside my workshop. He ended up having to leave it outside where it could have got pinched (it's not a safe area). It would be useful to get at least 24 hours notice on when orders are being delivered (although I suspect that's on the delivery company, not G&S). What might be useful from G&S' side is letting people know when the order has been milled, or even when the package has been shipped. The only indication I had to work on was '10-14 working days' for turn around at the point of purchase, and that's not very specific. Other than this, I am very happy with the product. Thanks.”

“Order some ash planks, and they arrived in good time, packaged really well. On opening, all the wood was in pristine condition, no warping and cut to perfect 90 degree angles. The colour and grain pattern are beautiful. I almost don't want to cut into them! Will definitely be a regular customer from now on”

“I decided to use this company after being rather disappointed with the timber being supplied by a local merchant. The Ash and Oak were supplied rough sawn and appear generally to be of very high quality, although I have not had the opportunity to plane any of it yet. The pre-planed walnut was excelent. All arrived ahead of schedule and very well rapped against the weather and mechanical damage.”
