“Very fast delivery for in-stock items of timper. The timber was extremely well packed, with addional material to protect then ends for damage in-transit. Delivery charges are great for pieces less than 1 metre long. For items over that, a substantial order will be required to justify the shipping cost, but one should compare delivered costs, and on that basis this company remains very attractive. I did this for my first order. Thoroughly recommended. This is my second order and I will definitely be placing more orders in the future.”

“G&S is a company I have been aware of for some time, but until recently have not needed to buy from them. I am about to make some small boxes which will have wood hinges, an idea picked up from Rob Cosman, the hinges are formed from a dowel. A Google search came up with G&S as a supplier of hardwood dowels in a variety of species. I made up a small order as a test purchase. I was particularly interested in how round the dowels are and how closely they match the advertised diameter. I was delighted to find that they passed both requirements with flying colours. I won't hesitate to use G&S again for my specialist equirements.”

“There was a greater tolerance than I was expecting this time on the oak dowel, but replacement lengths were very quickly despatched and I was able to finish the piece in time and to a lovely standard of finish. Excellent customer service, thank you”
