“While I like the set I ordered and I like the items I was very surprised at how low the rating on Yuka was for the face suncream, I had ordered it expecting it to be better rated like Green People, but it was as bad as the big brands. I do like the lip conditioner, but find I'm applying it all the time as my lips now feel drier that before...but I do love the scent. The cooling spray is nice and refreshing in this heat and I've been keeping it in the fridge too, would be nice if it doubled up as an after sun with some aloe Vera in it. The cooling peppermint body bar is really good.”

“Hi Simon, I'm really pleased with my products. However, I bought them assuming they were all vegan. However, the factor 50 and 30 don't state on the bottle that they are vegan . Please can you let me know. Many thanks Elaine”

“I love Gruum products but I don't understand why they have such ugly packaging? Grey square bottles are not comfortable or attractive to use or have on display. As such I hide them away and then forget to use them. A complete redesign of the packaging would, in my opinion, attract more customers.”

“First order was packaged in a box that wasn't strong enough for the contents, or sealed so I received an empty box - Royal Mail must be enjoying the products somewhere! A replacement was sent promptly but an item was missing. I have now received the full order, after various emails to customer service. I think Gruum should just get it right in the first place & save a bit of expense on unnecessary extra postage costs & freebies as a way of apology, then everyone should be able to enjoy lower prices as standard.”

“Good stuff but its just too expensive (for me anyway) . I'm sure there are people out there this will appeal to who will want to spend this sort of money. I'm really happy with Boots No 7 and Body shop products. I will not be purchasing again”

“No strong scent which is great, doesn’t feel greasy either. It did however cause my face to burn and my skin is very sore and dry 4 days later. I didn’t see anything about being suitable for sensitive skin, I should have checked. I wouldn’t use if you have sensitive skin.”

“I have used this trial pack and my thoughts are pretty positive regarding sustainability and how good they are; Positives are; Sustainability Hair shampoo is very good. Lasted two weeks and lathers well. Negatives; Cost is a little high compared with traditional products. Found the body bar didn’t lather so you didn’t get a sense of being clean. Also the bar broke up into pieces.”

“Really pleasant bar products. No need to buy the water component or plastic packaging, which is great. Bars quite small for the price and while a little goes a long way, the bar becomes a delicate wafer quickly. Germanic seeming name doesn't appeal to those wanting to buy British and makes it appear to be made on the continent even if it's not. Surely something proudly Mancunian would have been better. Postage, at just under £4 for a single product, is very off putting unless you're locals and can collect. Put a quid on the price and delivery it free. Paper packaging design a bit basic but in tune with the quality no nosense product.”

“I would say it's an ok product, nothing too exceptional but gets the job done. However, the one thing that really stood out to me as a problem was the squared packaging. It was a bit awkward to handle and store compared to the usual rounded packaging. Just something to keep in mind if you're considering giving it a try.”
