Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“I engaged Down to Earth to remove some very large trees that were perched on the corner of my property, hemmed in by a wall and the pavement. They attended promptly and rapidly felled and disposed of the trees. Unfortunately they were not able to grind down the roots because of the proximity to the wall and pavement. I contacted their office and asked if there were any other options to remove the stumps to allow me to replant the area. Again, they very promptly sent out another team who manually removed the stumps with axes and a small machine. The end result is perfect, no tree and a good planting area left. The team were polite and efficient at every step. I would highly recommend them.”

“Many thanks for a good job in difficult circumstances, Three days work by great crews and very professional, 4 large fir trees , one very large ash tree 80ft thinned out and A overhanging bough reduced, plus 2 large sycamore branches halved, Very good email contact and updates, I have used them twice before with the same results, Would and will use them again, top marks 5 star 🌲🌲🌴🌴 Thanks From Geoff Of Bromley”

“DTE have just given the 6 trees in our garden a trim - as they have done on several occasions over the last 20 years or so. Always prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. They tidy up ours and the neighbours gardens when they have finished.”

“A truly magnificent job! It is the second time I have used Down to Earth and it will always be my "go to" tree company. From my dealings initially with Alex through to the various people in the office to the team lead by Harry, everybody was friendly, helpful and respectful. “As always, Down to Earth’s team were professional to their fingertips. They are especially good at making clear from the first appointment and through the planning process what will the work will entail and at providing reassurance about the likely outcomes. They could not be more respectful of property and leave the garden in a tidier condition than that in which they found it ( a view shared by my neighbour on whose drive Down to Earth parked and on which the discarded wood was shredded). All of the team working on the trees and those in the company’s office are kind and helpful. Heartily recommended.”

“An excellent service all round: A rapid and efficient response to my initial enquiry was followed by a near-immediate visit by an estimator and same-day estimate with alternatively competitively-priced options. All communications thereafter were efficient and engaging and ultimately led to an offer of a short-notice advanced slot for the work. As before, the team of three arrived punctually on the day and worked efficiently and at speed to deliver an excellent outcome, leaving the site tidy and swept clean. I can't imagine a better service or outcome for what was a large-scale tree pruning exercise in a difficult location. "Highly recommended" and I will default to Down to Earth for all my future woodland and garden tree maintenance work.”
