Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Easily contactable, and very efficient to deal with. The 3 guys who felled our large oak tree arrived on time, and worked hard. They did a great job and took care in everything they did. The tree was all cleared and they left the area clear and clean.”

“Down to Earth kept their appointment to assess and quote on thinning out trees in our back garden and gave a very competitive price. A date was given for the work to be carried out and we were updated nearer to the day. I was given a contact name and when they turned up on time he introduced himself and his colleague and explained how they would proceed. They were fast and proficient and I was most impressed with the clear up when they finished. Apart from the wonderfully trimmed trees you would not know they had been there. I would not hesitate to recommend Down to Earth.”

“The most professional tree company I have dealt with right from enquiry, quotation and all the way till after sales service. Competitively priced too but like everything in life never go with the cheapest option because qualiy matters and that is what these guys give. Used DTE to take down a horsechestnut tree with a TPO whose trunk was 4-5 foot wide, even the trunk was ground till below soil level. Workers were very considerate to my situation and treated my property with respect. All of the waste was removed from site as agreed. Will be using them again for all future tree work.”

“Interaction with all your personnel was good. They listened and didn't rush us. The men who did the work arrived promptly, discussed and confirmed what was to be done then carried out the work efficiently and stacked all the branches for us to shred and log (as agreed). We would recommend your company.”

“The team were very professional and pleasant and quite obviously knew exactly what they were doing. They left both my garden and my neighbour's, into which they had dropped some branches with his permission, amazingly tidy so much so that he commented to me about it. The only improvement would have been if they had confirmed the likely time of arrival a few days before the work was carried out.”

“This was the 2nd time I have used Down to Earth in maintaining our Magnolia Tree . I rang last Autumn to enquire and they recommended July as the best time of year and acknowledged the appointment. A few days before the appointment I rang to establish an ETA and they agreed to my preference of first call. The DtE operatives arrived on time, discussed what they intended , carried out the work, liaised with my neighbour , and cleared up , all very efficiently. I would happily recommend Down to Earth to friends”

“I had a patch of bamboo that needed removing and some tree stumps to grind up after receiving some horrific quotes I found Down to Earth who gave a very competitive price and although were very booked up (often a good sign) when the time came for the work to be done the chaps on site were very friendly, worked quickly and did a fabulous job leaving the garden very tidy. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend this company.”
