Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Reliable. Honest. Efficient. Excellent communicators. Totally professional from the Senior Domestic Estimator who came for the initial visit, to the lovely people in the office to the works team. “DTE carried out the work to a very high standard and cleared away all debris meticulously. The small amount of damage that occurred following the felling of 1 large tree and the pruning of 2 huge oak trees was put right without any fuss.”

“Have used Down to Earth trees for years to manage our church site (which includes some very temperamental horse chestnuts!). The office staff are unfailingly helpful, the crews arrive on time, do a great job, leave the area tidy and best of all, people occupying the neighbouring sites always comment how friendly and helpful they are.”

“The two workmen arrived on time and did exactly what was required in a very short time. They were extremely polite and ensured that debris from the stump removed did not spread to the rest of the garden. The office staff were also very helpful and I would certainly use the company again if the need arose.”

“The two members of staff arrived as scheduled, were extremely polite and pleasant and executed a complicated removal of approximately 50% of a Cupressus hedge. The work was outstandingly good and we are delighted with the result. The removed branches, etc were removed and the whole area left in perfect order. I would not hesitate in recommending unreservedly Down to Earth.”

“We had a tree down unexpectedly, having fallen obliquely and therefore dangerously on the roof of a shed. A team came the same afternoon, removed the tree and made all safe; very grateful. ..”

“I found this company very professional , When the chap came to survey and quote the work to be carried on a Leyland Cypress and remove a Hazel stump it was obvious he was very experienced and knowledgeable , after a few days the quote I received was what I paid ...no additional costs added after the work. on the day of the work carried out the guys turned up on time and set to work straight away, everything was done correctly in the time quoted to a good professional standard, they were tidy and cleaned up all the debris ,they asked me to examine the work was carried out to my satisfaction before they left. I would certainly use and whole heartedly recommend Down To Earth.”

“Crew friendly and polite. Did job as requested and satisfied with final result. However clearing up not as thorough as usual. Appreciate difficulties with this but main point is neighbours two cars covered with fine dust from chipping machine. This probably not obvious to crew but may be some fault in screening.”

“This is the second time we have used this company. Last time we were totally amazed and impressed when they were called Green Cut. That time they undertook a massive two poplar tree clearance. We wrote a rave review then. Now they are part of Down to Earth we were equally impressed. Another poplar tree completely cleared with speed, skill, intelligence, politeness and care. The site was completely tidied - including neighbours’ gardens. The price was excellent for the work involved and we would certainly use this company again.”
