Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Our experience with Down to Earth began with Simon, my astute neighbour, who reported that he had used Down to Earth a few times already and found them to be reasonably priced and very efficient. So when I asked them to quote for some work I was already feeling relaxed. I liked the quotation process that began with a survey of work needed with helpful discussion and advice, followed by a well laid-out quotation which also explained payment terms etc. The office also kept in touch by email and also by phone on the night before arrival. The guys who arrived to do the work seemed competent and motivated (especially after plied with coffee) and the work was completed surprisingly quickly with trimmings taken away leaving the garden neat. Thanks :- )”

“Most of the work carried out for us by Down to Earth over the years has been on a neighbouring mobile home site involving careful removal of large branches etc over the mobile homes. The owners have always been very pleased with the courtesy and care shown by the 'boys' and the clearance of the sites on completion.”

“Exceptional company from start to finish. Professional and polite in all matters, from initial site visit right through to work conclusion. Have used them three times now over the years and they have always been first class. They always keep you informed when potential problems arise. On the day, their personnel were excellent. The finished job was first class and the tree looked wonderful. Would highly recommend Down To Earth to anyone.”

“I have been using Down to Earth Trees for the past 10+ years. I am very particular and like all my Holly Trees shaped and my 4 hedges cut very tightly. Down to Earth, Chris in particular, understood my requirements totally i.e. one of the hedges had been sloping upwards and he used different hedge cutters until he found one strong enough to cut the hedge that it was all one height which more than exceeded my expectation.”
