“It works consistently and accurately. Initial backup took a long time but daily incremental ones are relatively short. My computer has over 800k files.”

“It seems that the program is over complicated from a user point of view - not responsive to user input - for instance I have the "start when windows start" checked yet it refuses to do so”

“I run an Apache web server on one of the systems on my network. I use GoodSync to keep the PHP directories on my development system in sync with the directories on the Apache server. Each project is a separate job in GoodSync so it is easy to track of what I am working on. I tried a few backup programs but they were only “one way”. GoodSync keeps my system up to date with the data files updated by the Apache server. I tried the free version for a while and was so impressed that I purchased the Pro version.”

“Simple : it works! Synchronization is not an easy process, many different options can be applied to the same files in the origin and destination folders. Apple does not yet understand that, you did, so congratulations!”

“Makes it very easy to back up my files on the Cloud, as well as on my external drive! Set up different "jobs" and all I have to do is Analyze and Sync each one!”

“I have a bunch of files (38GB) that I must backup and prior programs used have never been satisfactory. After a relatively short learning curve, to me, GoodSync accomplishes my task very quickly and accurately. I consider it to be superb software, of the highest order. I recommend it to everyone. TWC”

“GoodSync lets me back up the changed files on my Mac Hard Drive to cloud storage without having to keep them in a dedicated cloud folder. Since the Mac is networked, it lets others be able to access my files as needed. It's easy to select the files to sync, and reasonably easy to select and log on to a cloud account. The only problem I've had is it very rarely loses the cloud location or starts a completely different set of folders in the cloud (duplicating my data). I've also used it as a sync to keep critical files synced between my home & work computer. The program is very versatile and easy to use, and doesn't seem to mind that I'm syncing between different OS.”

“The software is VERY difficult to use and not intuitive at all. I'm a pretty savvy computer user; however, whenever I try to use the program, I feel like I have to be a computer programmer in order to do anything with it.”

“GoodSync works perfectly and is an excellent program for transferring data from a computer to an external hard drive. I use it to sync two geographically separated computers via my external hard drive. I use Microsoft 365, and my access to its cloud storage from up to 5 devices, including iPads and iPhones, renders GoodSync somewhat unnecessary; however, GoodSync gives me the ability to use my external hard drive as an "insurance policy" for data storage.”

“I've been using GoodSync since 2006 and love it. I have a lot of computers and file servers and GoodSync makes it easy to keep all of my working folders synchronized and backed up. I have millions of files and GoodSync is the only product I've found that doesn't choke.”

“GoodSync did what its advertising said it would do and with that aspect of the program I am satisfied. There are two aspects of GoodSync that have not been satisfactory. 1. The stream of advertising asking me to upgrade to the "Professional" level which I do not need. It was clogging my email inbox so I asked GoodSync not to send it. But it kept coming. In the end I had to label the mail as spam i.e. for automatic deletion. 2. My understanding was that I could run the software I bought on both my home machine and my laptop without buying another license. I asked GoodSync how to copy or download the necessary software but never received a reply. It is a nuisance not having it on my laptop when when traveling. So, the software it good but the administration and communication side of the operation needs work.”
