“Despite reading all the options and deciding what I wished to purchase on line The system would not allow me pay I rang up and the operator insisted on going through my whole application and try and sell me more products I was on the phone for 20 minutes to a very kurt American man !!”

“Went through the full process of applying for insurance with first call including paying, I asked questions to make sure I was eligible and was excepted. Next day I received an email at around 11am to say the couldn't insure me and that I had no cover! This left my vehicle uninsured for nearly 24 hours and unaware that I was driving illegally! From now on I will call a broker directly so I can make sure all the relevant information is given and received.”

“If only the actual insurance companies were as easy to deal with!! Or does Gocompare "hide" things from the insurance companies. After entering the requested information you get your quotes, choose from the list of quotes then proceed with your choice only to be told that your final price is subject is subject to a few extra charges!! For example a "call centre" handling charge!!! In 30years of insuring vehicles that's a new one to me!!! My advice is to seriously check all variables and all information as well as the usual small print..............in detail!!!”

“The Quotes you gave were not the true prices.Bonus protection was extra and also one could not opt out of taking one of the extra bundles even though they were headed as optional. A waste of time.”

“Finding a quote wasn't a problem, however, clicking through to the relevant insurer proved somewhat more of a challenge. I tried 2 insurers a number of times each and then found their payments systems not to be working properly, so gave up and went elsewhere. Was it because it was the weekend? Pity.”

“The quotes are not true. One quote on our website was a certain price but when I received the quote from the insurer it was £149.30 MORE than on your Go Compare! How come? If that's the case the prices on Go Compare are simply not true.”

“This used to be a great site but now it's really disappointing. When my house insurance quotes were loaded, you can't see the names of the companies or there prices until you click on the individual quote, this never used to be the case. Don't see how they can call themselves go compare anymore as you can't!”

“The quotes were not accurate. I purchased the best quote making a payment and then received a call to review and ended up paying just over £200 more. I did not more time to invest and went with it but will be using another site the next time one of our vehicles need renewing. Overall not happy as I have used the site multiple times over the years!”

“I received a quote of £404.71 for my car with SureThing. When I proceeded to take up the Insurance the amount increased by a massive 38%. This based on the exact same input data. I think SurThing are working the flankers and put up a misleading quotation to get visit activity. The same thing happened with this company on other price comparison sites at differing massive increases.”
