Unfortunately your form isn't as straightforward as it appears. Almost let me in a position where I hadn't provided all the information which could well have invalidated my insurance. It did result in an appreciably higher premium so I went elsewhere.

Hi Michael, Thanks for leaving your review, we're sorry to hear that your quote increased. We don't have any influence on prices as we're a comparison service, not an insurer. Insurers use rating factors to provide you with quotes. One of these rating factors is having made a claim, regardless of fault. I had an accident that had zero cost. Your system doesn't allow £0 entries. After speaking to your Customer Service they said make a false declaration then talk to the best insurers. I tried to point out that this would distort the algorithms and they may not be the4 "best insurers".

Hello Paul, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. If a claim is made, there will usually be some sort of cost, whether this is on your side or the other driver's. Because of this, we need an amount of at least £50 entered into our quote form. As previously advised, the only way around this would be to enter the minimum amount and speak to your chosen insurer before purchase. Regards, Dan.

I tried to organise insurance but once I completed the paperwork it knocked me straight back to homepage. It wouldn't let me complete , I ended up phoning to complete.

Quote went up after a day, would have paid the first quote but no link to do so... Went through an expensive trile of calls to ex insures who had no knowledge of my previous insurance... A very expensive frustrating experience.... Not ever going through go compair again.......

I was looking for house insurance that has a thatched roof. I used your site, filled out all the details on your proforma and received just one quote. There are many more companies providing insurance for thatched properties. Any way I went with your quote and the lady took me through a similar form to yours; collecting my personal details. After about an hour I received a quote from her. I read the detail and it stated that she was offering to insure a property with a standard roof. I rang her to let her know my problem... The cost of insurance doubled. I have since taken insurance with a different company. However, I am frustrated by your system that clearly has interface issues with other insurance providers' systems. I lost hours of time for nothing!

Got quotes a couple of weeks ago when I went to buy the insurance after it was still an actvive quote I could not get the price I was quoted

We have looked into this for you and found that a 3 week gap occurred between the original quotation and when you returned to purchase. Our insurers use real time pricing, which means that prices are only guaranteed at the time of the quote and it's likely that your quotes will change if you return to buy later. Recommended RBS Car Insurance who proposed to set up a policy with CIS (Co-oprative) who have the worst customer service record of all Car Insurance Companies (over 70 one out of 5 star rating in the last 12m). It's all very well pointing your users to the lowest cost suppliers but NOT if they are incompetent. Complete waste of time going on your site. Went on to the Which? site - far more helpful and accurate.

I come on your site to insure my car, GREAT. Then you transfer me to the insurer, I have to go through it all again, then it comes up with a dearer price, not so good, still no insurance

I found the one I wanted very diffcoult to sort out as it had timer on it and kept timing out when trying to put my information in as a result I missed out on the deal you was offering me for my car
