Not once was I asked about what type of heating my house has. I took out a cover with LV, I even phoned them and spoke to someone about the policy. So l paid my money and received my documents by email.when I read through the policy it states that it doesn’t cover houses with oil heating, which mine is.so another phone call to Lv to cancel it. Funny how they can take your money there and then but cannot pay it back for 3 to 5 working days. I know this is not go compares fault, but maybe if they would asked the question first It would have saved me a lot of time and bother. I had to then sort out some more insurance and pay again, so maybe for a week I will be out of pocket and in these difficult times, where I’ve earned no money for 8 weeks, I could do without that

Sometimes internet history can affect the way a website functions, so you could try clearing your internet history, cookies and cache. Alternatively you can get in touch with the insurer directly quoting your GoCompare reference number. Doing this will ensure you are still eligible for our £250 excess protection cover. Found it almost impossible to follow up on any of the insurance companies suggested, particularly LiV. And those I did manage to get a quote from were much higher than Go Compares quotes.

The results from each insurance company are inaccurate and need clarification on telephone which isn’t always possible during Covid

cannot understand when reviewing quotes then returning to site the following day that they have gone up by £50 WHY!!!!!!!!

the quote is good but when go to complete the price increased if you go back to a quote later the price quoted is same but when you go to complete the price has gone up plus they try to jack up the price on what is incorporated in the figure quoted ??

I found a quote which I wanted to accept, but when it came to paying I was told a security number would be sent to my email address. To access this I had to close the page - but I couldn't return to it. I do all my work on my laptop - no mobile phone.

Are you able to return to the insurers site to make the payment whilst also viewing your emails on another tab / window? This will allow you to have both pages open at the same time. When I tried to log on to quotes I was immediately logged out stating that I had been inactive for too long, happened on the first three quotes listed, probably not go compares fault, but doesn’t look good, I had to go elsewhere
