“In my view insurance companies are like Banks greedy look after the fat cats at the top and screw Joe public Rip of Britain at its worst . I have years of N C D and what do I get every year increase after increase no loyalty bonus is ever given total greed .”

“Got a quote for my Saab 93. Phoned the company at 16.45. Kept me hanging on the phone for 10mins, then the line went dead.I phoned again and was told the insurance they deal with had gone. What a waste of time. So I went to money market insurance. Got a cheaper quote for my car and paid for it online. So no I won't be going back to go compare.”

“This is not about my home insurance. But car insurance I got a quote for a car I was going to buy the 1st quote was for £640 I was told if you add your licence number it could be reduced so I did and the premium went up went back to check everything was correct added a dash cam came down slightly removed the dash cam and the premium kept increasing”

“The quote I received off the website was then fundamentally altered when I went to the insurance company to buy. The amount quoted over the phone changed by £200, what a waste of time and effort.”

“A wasted evening inputting specified items (bicycles) in to the GoCompare quote engine & received >20 quotes which all excludes the bikes from the cover. So a warning to read the draft policies before ‘buying’! Ended up buying direct from Pedalcover.”

“I put in all my info.inc.20+ years of no claims. The lowest offer of fully comp was over 60% higher than my last year premium. Most of the companies were TWICE the last year premium and were hardly household names .in fact the best (sic) three offers were from building societies ,,,how does that work ? I looked through all the other co.s , not one of the FIVE majors is on your site , so going direct seems to be the answer , it might be a good idea , but it doesn't work so I'll once again be going direct .
