I was unable to get the internet to work to do it on line, and I'm glad because when I rang the company,the qt was very different, I had got a gt of go compare for just over £234 but when I rang it was over £500 I was very disappointed,

I stated my date of birth but then found that Hastings did not provide personal 8njury cover for people over 79 years.Having my date of birth should have flagged up a problem.

Well gives you different prices plus actually having some insurance like quote me happy .com is the worst thing that can happen

The quotes given on the site are taken down before the 30 days they are valid for. If you ask the site within the 30 days to requote the original quote should still be available for the given time period, obviously if the new quote is cheaper then you can run with that but if it's more expensive then you still should be able to access and use the original "still valid" quotation.

Cheapest quote was £760... I got insured for the same level of cover for £490. So either wrong providers or taking too much margin, £270 is a huge difference.

I checked for a car insurance quote late in the evening one day only to find the quote went up the following day - I did not proceed with the transaction.

A comprehensive list and it was of interest but when I tried to accept a best quote from Homeview (I think that was it) but it wouldn't accept it without my web online code, well I don't know what this code is or where you get it from but it meant I couldn't proceed.

despite the fact that i completed all the questions correctly and stated that i was not the registered keeper of the vehicle . My application was initially accepted as was my deposit BUT an hour later i was told that I couldn't be insured. Upon phoning i was told that I was insured then 30 minutes later i was phoned and told I wasnt insured. Sadly, i was unable to get insured with a different provider because you had my money.

Have just renewed my car insurance via go compare at £585.14 and have discovered that via money supermarket it would have cost me £549. Not happy

I carefully filled in the online quote form but, when I tried to check a quote from the companies, either something was allegedly 'missing' or 'incorrectly' filled in and a recalculation bore no resemblance to the original quote - the quotes were hiked up. Any of the quotes that were supposed to include various services either did not materialise or were very basic and had to be upgraded. It was all very frustrating and I ended up returning to my broker whether it was more expensive or not.

I cannot seem to be able get my free £250 excess cover even with a password as you keep showing me insurance cover that I did not choose

If you could log into your GoCompare.com account and select the ‘Retrieve quotes’ option in the top right-hand corner, you will see a ‘Free Excess Protection’ tab at the top of the screen. Here you will be asked to complete the empty fields, before you accept and redeem your reward. Depending on if you have selected email or post, your reward will then be issued to you via your chosen method. This will change your premiums as when paying monthly, as you will need to pay interest.
