Do not use this company. Paid £149 and they carried out no work what so ever. They never answer the phone and hide behind emails. I used them in good faith as I knew where my shower was leaking but they claimed to have diagnosed the repair which is false. No refund was given as they had attended my property for less than 5 minutes. I have had the issue fixed professionally now and would never contact them again or recommend you do.

Take your money without fixing the problem. The workman sent out took more money, still problem not fixed. Major issues that when complaint made they completely ignored. Avoid at all costs

Go Assist informed that they drawn £125 from my bank account and that a rep would be arriving on 02/02/2021. I waited all day but nobody showed up. I tried to get in touch with them but nobody was answering the phone.

They’ve taken money from me by hiding a membership fee in their small print. I never even ended up getting work done!!

I payed in advance over the phone for the repair of my hob before Christmas. Go Assist said someone would get in touch with me to arrange a time and date for the repair. I phoned Go Assist on 10th January, since I had not heard from them. They said my repair "was not on the spreadsheet"; that's why no one had got in touch with me. Then they said to me they had no Go Assist gas engineers in my area (I live very close to a reasonably large city) and that they could offer some "other type of repair". I would have had to pay about £150 in addition to the original £119 I had already paid. Their website states "Your go-to for nationwide home repairs". Evidently this statement is incorrect. Why did Go Assist "forget" my booking? Why did not they check whether there were Go Assist gas engineers in my area or not when I originally booked my repair? Unreliable.

Absolute garbage, paid for engineer to come out for the washing machine, 5 minute visit, didn't know what was wrong but still wanted to order £120 parts of what he "thought" it could be (seals), I cancelled at this point...Customer service is misleading and only interested in keeping you paying the insurance. £120 lost for nothing. Do the research and avoid. I should have checked the reviews first don't make the same mistake

If I could give you nil I would. I asked Go assist to look at my dishwasher on 7th Dec.2021. we had to pay £119 upfront.The engineer came and said we needed new seals.Apparently it takes a long time to get parts so we had to pay £57 before they could order them. When I asked for a repair I was pressured to buy insurance at £7 per month. I didn’t want this and I had to be very firm with the young woman on the phone.On asking for updates on my repair, some people were conciliatory, but most were off hand verging on rudeness. We are so fed up with it all. I am disabled and was left with a dishwasher all over Christmas which was very difficult for me, We have decided to cut our losses and cancel the repair. There is NO refund offered. Go assist have had over £170 from us for NO service at all. I suspect other people cancel,which is why they ask for payment upfront.

They have a tendency to charge for work not done. E.g: I took out an insurance contest with them and they charged me for a period when it was not active. They have recently charged me £40 without explanation and are not replying to my emails

an absolute rip off ! £119 for call out and labour for a broken freezer hinge, engineer attended and said he had to order hinge, price only covered labour, £97.50 extra to pay ! and not fitted on same day. I will not be using this company again, I can buy a new freezer and have it fitted for £50 more than this total.

Not to be trusted. Intentionally mislead consumers that they also signed up for £7.95 a month subscription to a different company handling equipment insurance, incidentally, located at the same address (so companies linked and probably are one and the same). Took me a number of hours to lodge dispute with credit card company about unauthorised transaction. Sent mail confirmation attempting to claim payment for a second time with absolutely no references on it regarding original order. Go Assist actually had the audacity to phone and enquire why I hadn't completed my order, which, incidentally, they has already taken payment for. Confusing and untrustworthy way of setting out a web site which in my opinion, sets out to deliberately confuse and defraud.

A Bosch microwave repair booked 6 April 2021 after 8 engineer visits different parts needed to repair some not required and microwave still was not working. Finally fault diagnosis and after waiting 20 weeks for these parts which were out stock engineer arrived 15 November to fit but not needed as a broken wire was found and repaired and low and behold after 8 months the microwave worked!!!! What a saga.

I am really puzzled how at the top of the page it says it has 4.26 stars as all I can see is bad reviews. Absolutely disgusting company. Paid £119 upfront, for that you get the engineer and labour , you know at this point you have to pay for parts on top , no problem there , the engineer came and it was the element, they charged another £164.84. The engineer came and he could not fix and said I need a new dishwasher. Then, I was told that the engineer recommends a new parts for £184.00. I contacted Citizen advice Office and they reported them to trading standards that is currently investigating this company.

What on earth am I paying another £40 admin fee for . I will never ever use you again , you’re ripping off people left right and canter !!!

Awful service - never use them. To book the call in was laborious, I kept being put on hold and having to repeat the details. You then pre-pay for appointment and are told that someone will be with you in 4 HOURS...it actually took 2 hours for one of their 3rd party providers to call me and then they couldn't do anything until the next day.

I contacted Go assist service before 15th Oct 2021 to fix my fridge. they promised that it will be sorted out with in 2-3 days maximum. I paid £80 for engineer to have a look and around £80 again for equipment part. I also joined the insurance and have been paying £10 monthly. after they deducted the money,they have not fixed anything after even its been more than 5 weeks. they are absolutely fraud and liar. they promise you this and that but once they take out your money, they do not do any thing. they did not say it will take forever for them to fix and they are eager to take your money. they do not refund your money even though its their fault.I have a 3 year old toddler whose food needs to be refrigerated daily. how can they be so irresponsible, unprofessional after they suck out your money? extremely bad company. very disappointed. never ever join this fraud company for the service.

Do not use....paid £119.00 for a guy to come out was here for approx 3 mins then told they couldn't get the part needed. Feel like we have been robbed avoid this company at all costs

Called Go Assist and was assured that the engineer will call in the next half an hour. That was Friday morning. Payed the callout fee and waited and waited. It was clear he is not coming the same day. Called them first thing Monday. A lovely girl apologised and assured he is calling any minute. He did just to tell me he just received the email and is booked and has no time till Friday (maybe Wednesday, but no Friday, but maybe Wednesday). Comes Friday and I’m waiting and waiting. No engineer and not a phone call to say he is running late or won’t be able to make it. So I call the customer service this time to demand my money back. 20 min on hold and she tells me she can’t get hold of him. So I ask for a refund over the phone and in writing. Monday I get an email saying they won’t refund until they get in touch with the engineer to get to the bottom why he did not show up. As it seams they can’t even find him. So I have sent three emails demanding a refund and it is clear it’s far from over. I find this kind of business not only unprofessional (on the boundary’s of fraud) but disrespectful towards customers. Most of us have a job and can’t sit at home all day waiting if the repair you payed more than you might earn all day to turn up. And then they don’t turn up! I do understand that things happen, cars brake down, Isolate Britain blocked the motorway or god knows what, but have some decency to call and apologise and reschedule. After reading all the reviews ( two weeks too late), I will be emailing Trading standards as this is not acceptable and companies like that should be forced to shut down or fined for systematically failing customers.

Where do I start…. I rang about an oven repair on Friday 29 th October. They came the next Monday did the repair and all was well. Until 4 hours later when I received a call from my tenant. She said the electrics started tripping out again due to the oven. So I rang back and explained the situation and the earliest an engineer could re attend was the Friday so 4 days later. The engineer came and discovered that there was an issue with the thermostat. I was told that they were ordering the part and will be in touch when the repair can be done . I waited and waited and my tenant rang and said she had contacted the company direct and the part needed had been discontinued… I then rang to see what was going on and they said only other option is a new oven. This is 2 weeks after the original visit. I then said do you provide new ovens and they said yes. I said brilliant can we get one ordered snd fitted ASAP. I was assured that one of the 4 options I picked will be installed within 5 working days. I then received an email saying the oven has been ordered snd will be delivered on the 22 nd of November. I said this is too long my tenant has been without an oven for 2 weeks already !! They then told me it was due to the oven not being in stock. I then asked if any were in stock could I swap to that option and get it fitted ASAP. They said yes no problem we have another oven and that is in stock and can be fitted towards the end of the week or latest early next week. I said that would have to do… I later then received an email saying your oven will be being delivered on the 24th of November !!!!! 2 days after the first oven I had chosen, In the end I just cancelled it all and got someone to replace the oven the next day. SHOCKING.I’d not the word.
