Really poor service . I booked a week in advance for no one to turn up ! I rang customer services complete waste of time. Would no recommend this company

This was my first experience with GloTech and I have to say they were amazing. From the very knowledgable and helpful Peter who answered the phone at 9.30am and booked my engineer visit in, to the very capable and helpful Alex who arrived around 1pm to try and fix my washing machine. The quality of their staff, exceptional service levels and overall standards are a credit to the company. Alex sadly had to give my machine the last rites as both the control panel and motor had gone. He worked carefully and methodically through the issues, was tidy and respectful of our home and I can’t fault him in any way. Alex even asked the office team to contact me to discuss a replacement which they did only half an hour after he left. From my experience I can highly recommend Glotech.

Cover with D&G, but when I contacted them , their agent cancelled the visit, so I was told to 'Pay and Claim' where I find and pay for the work to be done and claim it back, after getting authorisation from D&G. I found Glotech on Tuesday afternoon, which I thought were in High Wycombe, (it was St Albans, but closer than Gloucester where the D&G agent was!) and the engineer came Thursday morning! He diagnosed the issue, which needed three components and gave me the costing. It took me another three days to finally get authorisation because D&G have done away with their email address for customers, and I was being sent round the houses with a phone number to call! Finally got the permission, told Glotech and paid for the parts, one of which had to be ordered. Parts came quicker than expected, and the job was done last Friday, three days earlier than the booking as I had a cancellation. Glotech have been great-keeping me informed, helpful, and eager to please. Can highly recommend them! Definitely worth 5 stars!!

Having made an online appointment it was cancelled and I was told to phone and rebook. I did this on and off all day but no one answered my call. I have now booked with another company.

1st appointment cancelled at last minute , waited in all morning for the 2nd appointment to be told that the engineer couldn't park his van!! We live near a main road in Scarborough! No apology from anyone. Wouldn't recommend and won't be trying to use them again!

The engineer was very polite and cheerful. He sorted the job out for me quickly and without any extra charges. To a pensioner like myself that was really good. I would have no hesitation in using glo tec again and will recommend to others. Thank you.

Engineer had to come out three times. The margin on parts is extortionate. First visit the engineer was here for about 5mins without actually looking inside the appliance (an oven) to basically confirm my description of the issue. Ordered wrong parts which was ascertained on the second visit when he actually opened the appliance up, so third visit for the fix, of which I am not impressed by end result (CPU board with clock display which is now a bit wonky). Oh and I am still waiting refund for the parts I unnecessarily paid for (which were c.50% more expensive than if I went direct to manufacturer). In short, looked like good value, but underlying it cost me more than a new oven with an underwhelming fix. I suppose I can still cook with it, but I won't be using them again.

Taken aback by having to stump up 100% of call-out before they came. Part required was £92 from manufacturer compared to £120 from glotech. Destroyed silicone sealant getting at induction hob and not rectified- will now have to get a kitchen fitting company separately to re-seal hob. Happy with engineer who came promptly to fix.

BEWARE. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A MACHINE PROBLEM. THEY WILL NOT SERVICE A MACHINE TO GET IT WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN. I booked Glotech to come to look at a Samsung Tumble dryer that wasn't drying properly. They sent an engineer who didn't even open the machine. He took a look in the heat exchange compartment and tried to use our hoover on it. There is absolutely no way this would work as there is too much moisture. He then said the machine was a write off and we should get a replacement. This is simply not true. You can find videos on youTube showing how to service machines. Glotech refuse to do this. When I booked Glotech I assumed that they would send an engineer who would be able to repair the machine and get it working properly again as although the machine is now out of warranty it is not that old and there is little wrong with it. Frankly I can do this myself but I would prefer an expert to do it. When I complained Glotech sent another engineer who did nothing more than look at the machine and confirm what I already know and had told them. The machine needs the heat exchange thoroughly cleaning. Glowtech now tell me that they don't do this work. They differentiate between repairs which to them is supplying a replacement parts and servicing which would involve cleaning. I get the feeling their real interest is to upsell a new machine to be honest. No where on their website, in the process of booking, in their booking confirmations is there anything where they state that they won't clean a unit (service) and only repair (supply replacement parts). Glotech are refusing to refund me despite the fact that I was very clear that the unit had a problem which required the heat exchange unit to be cleaned from the start. I find it disgusting that a company who protray themselves as being a family run business and an honest value for money service are acting in this way and I am now determined to make sure others don't incurr costs with them and face a similar fate. The fact that they are writing off machines which just need cleaning is damaging for the environment. PLEASE THINK VERY HARD ABOUT CALLING THEM TO FIX YOUR MACHINE.

Got in touch Friday 8th. Appointment booked for Monday 11th . Had to order part which was element in bottom oven. Had one in warehouse. Came next day to install it. Dean was was very friendly and polite. After installing he made sure that the element was working OK. Very pleased with him. Would use again. HP10 0DW

I am sorry to say that this Company (who I hadn't used before),let me down at every level. On two consecutive days in in mid February they cancelled appointments because of a problem with their van and I wasted all that time waiting for them. Then finally the engineer came on the third day and spent 10 minutes diagnosing a new part. A few days later they said the part would be £369. For this service I paid £125 up front. When I complained, their attitude was 'terms and conditions'. I asked about a complaints process and they hadn't got one (or at least not one they would tell me about). I shan't use them again.

Excellent service. Very prompt arrangement of appointment on line, and very easy to book. Service Engineer Alex kept us informed and phoned to confirm arrival time, well within the time slot advised. Very efficient diagnosis of the machine fault and repaired loose connection to cure the fault with the non-functioning washer/dryer heater. Would recommend Glotech in future. Many thanks.

Alex was friendly and helpful when he visited our house. He efficiently identified the issues with our fridge freezer and later with our cooker. He made sure the cooker part was ordered, explained about the insurance and worked quickly. Very happy with his work. My only issue with the company is that there was no explanation about an integrated fridge freezer not being removed or the new one being fitted. It would have saved a lot of time if we had known from the outset.

Be aware that when using this company you may have to pay twice (or more) for several visits before they actually fix your appliance. In order to prevent any issues, I wanted to change the seal in my SMEG dishwasher and requested an engineer. However, shortly after his visit, it started leaking (it didn't have any leakage before!). Despite this issue, they stated that the engineer wasn't at fault and that they could not be liable as the part was provided separately, even though it had been purchased through the official website according to the specification of the dishwasher. The customer service suggested another engineer to fix my dishwasher but I had to pay again for the visit. I found it's very unprofessional and canning because of the following reasons: First of all, the engineer should have: *warned me that the company isn't responsible if the part provided by clients; *informed me if the part provided was unsuitable; *suggested a Glotech's part instead to get an after-service guarantee; * and, most importantly, checked if his work was of a good standard and the appliance was in working order! For a few days, the water leaked under the kitchen unnoticed before the paddle covered a significant area of the kitchen floor. Secondly, I would accept that the faulty part was a problem, but now I CAN'T TRUST that the second visit will be the last one, and they will repair their repair. It would be easier and cheaper to buy a new one than to use the Glotech repair.
