“I was appalled by the inability of Glotech ( Selby) to attend my fridge freezer break down for a week . I had called out an engineer on 11 th 0ctober as it was making intermittent loud ‘ticking and knocking noises’ . The engineer could not find anything wrong and asked me to ‘record’ the noise . Not possible as ‘ intermittent throughout the day . I was charged £74 but he said that if it was worse I could call them again and no charges . Less tha 3 weeks later Sat 26 th Oct late in the evening I noticed the freezer was not working. Unable to contact them until 9 am Monday 4th I was told no one would be available until the following Monday ( one week ).!! Almost everything in the fridge was unusable and ALL the freezer food . You advertise ‘ Same day /Next day service . DO NOT use their services qfor fridges or freezers . Disgusted!”

“The service I received from your company when my oven fan motor broke was excellent from my first phone call to the engineer coming out every one was so helpful ..The part got ordered & was fitted with in a week ..The price for the call out wasn’t expensive for the service I received .. I would highly recommend Glotech ..”

“Appalling service and customer service. Do not use or trust them. I have spoken them every day this week and told something different about my washing machine repair which is still not done, having paid for the part which is missing. The lack of communication is disgusting. And when asking about what is happening, they don't accept any blame just pass the buck. Apparently I have to wait until mid next week for any resolution, despite spending over 100 pound on the part which they cannot find.”

“Similar story to many customers. Happy to take £112 for a 5 minute visit and then call within 30 mins and say they cannot get the parts and have 'closed the repair' without any apparent effort to source a suitable alternative. I have located the key part with a simple Google search and will end up carrying out the repair myself.”

“Waste of time didn’t turn up and didn’t bother informing me. I value reliability. This company does not! Loss of a days wage and no repair done. When I called to see where they were, an uninterested response, “Mmm, well we were just fully booked”. Really! Well I received a confirmation of booking email. Obviously their time is far more valuable than mine. Not a good sign of this company who does not think or bother to inform customers.”

“Sadly my experience is the same as all the other 1 star reviews. Terrible service! Wish I had seen all these reviews previously! We will be reporting this firm. Charged us and left, within a few moments of using the washing machine the appliance starting smelling of a burning smell. We called and they wanted to charge double to come back! We asked for a refund and they said we needed to pay for a 3rd party to prove that what they did was at fault! Outrageous! WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They don't deserve your hard earned money!!”

“Thermostat on my 2yo Neff oven stopped working so phoned local Beverley Appliance Repairs (I thought) on 16th Sept. I had in fact been patched to the ?parent Glotech. Was told that the part (very small) would probably be on the van when the engineer arrived (23rd Sept). It wasn't. It had to be "sourced". I sourced one online in about two minutes but had paid the call-out charge by then. Eventually "sourced" and fitted on 14 Oct. Seems to me there is quite a bit of subterfuge here too, On Glotech front page there are ten 5-star reviews. That is all. Further investigation reveals all those like mine, which will never appear. Nothing wrong with the engineer and the people on the phone pleasant enough, but the glibness with which all concerned parried all my complaints and comments lead me to think they are very experienced at it. A month to get a thermostat fitted? Not again.”

“We had an excellent service from Glotech a few years ago so immediately thought of them when we needed our oven fixed. This time someone turned up, turned the oven on, stared at it for just under an hour and charged us £130. We expected the faulty part to be ordered and installed but were told that it was unavailable and there was nothing they could do. We found the spare part easily online. Do not use this company. They can no longer be bothered to help their customers.”

“I was scammed!!! Came and did absolutely nothing (He just opened the fridge door) "Sorry this brand can't be repaired. " Asked me to pay £85 On the phone, I was asking the type and brand I have and was told that they can repair it. 👎”

“Terrible absolutely terrible and dishonest to boot. I phoned and asked a simple question. How much to change a heater element on my washing machine. Gave the make and model. "£125.94 for the labour plus spare part." How much is the spare "£110". Ok so you can do the job for under £250 "Yes". Booked an engineer who turns up. I ask, before we start can we confirm the price. " Oh I know nothing about spare parts I haven't got any they need to be ordered" ??? But I was specific about what I wanted done and expected it done that day!! Anyway he puts his meter on it and confirms what I had already confirmed the the heater element needed replacing!!!! He asked for the labour charge up front which I stupidly paid. Nothing for a day so. Onto customer services!! it gets worse. "Oh yes the engineer attended and said it needs a new element!!!" Anger welling up now!! I know I said I told you that on the initial phone call. "Anyway to proceed we need to order the part for which you need to pay for now so we can order it which is £152.94!!!" How stupid of me to think the engineer would arrive with the part and fit it. Hang on the quote for the part was £110. "We have no record of that (how convenient). Well as you have frustrated the agreement will you refund the labour charge as no work has been done so I can go elsewhere. "No the engineer attended the property" So you are scamming me for around £50 as the options are to lose the labour charge or pay the inflated price for the spare from £110 to £152. "You need to pay" They were not interested in the original quote whatsoever. Customer services were diabolical. Anyway the bottom line is that I am giving everything to trading standards, Check a trade, and anyone else that uses their service.”

“Absolutely a terrible service I booked out an engineer for an LG American style fridge freezer it took 3 days for him to come, he said it was the fan,this took another 5 days before they replaced it, he wrongly forgot to connect one of two wires of the fan causing the whole unit to shortout, it took another 3 days to check it was put in incorrectly and another 5 days to order yet another fan, only to find out it was diagnosed wrong and still not working as the fan was not the issue. We called customer service at least 5 times who didn't care at all they wanted another £140 to try re-gas the unit. I have asked for the refund of the fan as this was not needed still waiting….I then called the manufactured who fixed the fridge freezer on first visit which took 24hrs, it did not need re-gassing. DO not use this company they have poor customer service and terrible engineers who do not care about repairing your equipment, this company is likely to cost you more with unprofessional work or time lost waiting on them. NO STARS !!! DO NOT USE THEM!”

“Today, 02/10/24 , I was telephoned to say that the washing machine that I had ordered would be with me within 30 mins. True to their word this actually happened. 2 engineers arrived installed the new machine and removed the old. Total time less than 25 mins, including ensuring that new machine actually worked. They also cleaned the area where the old machine had lived before installing the new. Could not ask for better service than I have received from Glotech. ,”

“George fixed my washing machine today. What a great service and a really lovely guy. He gave me tips on how to use my washing machine to prevent things happening in the future. He made the whole thing effortless, fast and efficient, and the price was great, I paid about £125 in total for labour and parts and I now have a fully functioning washing machine 😍. THANK YOU GEORGE & GLOTECH”
