Glotech were brilliant in ever way, from the initial phone call to my fridge/freezer being fixed. The onsite technician was polite and knew his trade. The cost of the repair very reasonable and well worth the money. I would thoroughly recommend Glotech.

Glotech, what a gem of a company, family run business, very smart, pleasant, gentleman attended, vans all clean & smart too, best repair company I’ve ever used for domestic repairs. Thank you so much for your excellent service I will fully recommend Glotech.

This company is a con. They take £100 call out charge but can't actually fix the problem. Then they give you a sophisticated quote about 5 times the price of the items so that you buy a new one. In the process they made £100 by doing absolutely nothing. Oh, then they will continue to email you in an attempt to extract more money out of you. I bet you these clowns so called engineers fixes hardly anything. I would love to see their success rates of repair per 1000 visits? Be aware never use this dodgy company.

Engineer unable to repair in day as part needed to be ordered. They re booked the apt but failed to take note of the need for 2 men- the part cost £34 and they then cancelled my repair on the day and couldn’t offer another appointment for 5 days. The part if I’d bought direct cost £11. I then had to fit it myself after they dropped the part off at my house- horrendous customer service and ridiculously expensive. Would never use again

Being a household of 4 (two of which who are feral 6.5 year olds who have no idea about what “clean” means) having your washing machine stop working is always an issue! I did the normal thing: searched on Google if I could do it, decided “nope” looked for a suitable company that could undertake the job and GloTech came up. Booking an engineer was very easy and out came George. Have to say, it is a real pleasure having someone come out, diagnose the issue, order the part and (a week later) fix the machine whilst being a thoroughly nice bloke. The result: It works…I don’t need to buy a new one and I didn’t need to pay the world to do so! Many thanks and appreciate the very fast turn round. Chris

Appalling service, do not use this company. We were initially given a quick appt date but time was between 0800-1700hrs, quick appt date was reason for selecting them. Waited all day no one turned up. Was informed the next day that engineer had been busy and that next available date was 7 days later. When Engineer did finally attend 7 days later my wife informed him of the fault conditions and his technical investigation was to place his hand on the top of the induction hob and state that should not be getting this hot and then ask my wife if we had the instruction book for the cooker with the circuit diagrams in. This was provided, he then rang a colleague and they determined that the repair would require replacement of parts to the sum of £1800. At no point did he actually open up the cooker or look at the induction hob control boards. I might as well have sent him a photo of our oven and told him it was getting hot for him to then tell me it would cost £1800 to repair. Had to pay the £118 call out charge. So i looked at the circuit diagrams and noted that there is an over heat sensor, i googled issues and found that if this triggers you should power of the cooker wait 5min and it should reset. Hey presto the induction hob works, however it appears a common cause for this triggering is the fan assembly for the oven is either clogged or broken. When i contacted Glotech about the poor performance and poor quality of skills they stated that as i had looked at the issue they could not be held liable for repairs (Switched off/on) and offered a £20 goodwill gesture. Stay away from this company as based on this i would not trust the safety of any repair they carried out.

Terrible after service..Glotech sub contracted the repair that they accepted to a 3rd party..the engineer arrived and diagnosed my dishwasher problem..they then quoted a spare part at almost 3 times the manufacturer’s list price .. when I approached Glotech they promised to investigate… so far all I’ve received is excuses…the £100 call out fee is money for nothing…

Very disappointing service. They do not get engineers to diagnose faults so my built in oven was diagnosed over the phone. They basically have sales people who take money and one off fee but do no follow up admin re parts and appointments. Finally engineer arrived. He was fully qualified and knew what he was talking about but could not do anything as the fault was misdiagnosed. I would not recommend Glotech.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with Glotech Repairs. The engineer who came round to repair our fridge/freezer did not seem well trained. He walked through house with shoes before we could object. He told us information that was incorrect and said we needed another engineer to come round when fridge/freezer was defrosted, but that it was an easy fix. We rebooked only to be told after defrosting our freezer for 48 hours that the engineer’s vehicle had broken down and we would only get another appointment in 3 days. When a new engineer arrived 3 days later he immediately said the freezer was not repairable and would need replacing. Question - why were we not told this by the first engineer. We had already paid the £100 fee (apparently this is standard call out fee), but did not get any resolve. The office staff were very helpful, but engineer we received was not competent.

Can't praise enough....had Glotech out recently to repair washing machine, tumble dryer and now dishwasher...that's the 3 done for now! Efficient, fast service.. Thank you!

I was appalled by the inability of Glotech ( Selby) to attend my fridge freezer break down for a week . I had called out an engineer on 11 th 0ctober as it was making intermittent loud ‘ticking and knocking noises’ . The engineer could not find anything wrong and asked me to ‘record’ the noise . Not possible as ‘ intermittent throughout the day . I was charged £74 but he said that if it was worse I could call them again and no charges . Less tha 3 weeks later Sat 26 th Oct late in the evening I noticed the freezer was not working. Unable to contact them until 9 am Monday 4th I was told no one would be available until the following Monday ( one week ).!! Almost everything in the fridge was unusable and ALL the freezer food . You advertise ‘ Same day /Next day service . DO NOT use their services qfor fridges or freezers . Disgusted!

The service I received from your company when my oven fan motor broke was excellent from my first phone call to the engineer coming out every one was so helpful ..The part got ordered & was fitted with in a week ..The price for the call out wasn’t expensive for the service I received .. I would highly recommend Glotech ..

Appalling service and customer service. Do not use or trust them. I have spoken them every day this week and told something different about my washing machine repair which is still not done, having paid for the part which is missing. The lack of communication is disgusting. And when asking about what is happening, they don't accept any blame just pass the buck. Apparently I have to wait until mid next week for any resolution, despite spending over 100 pound on the part which they cannot find.

Similar story to many customers. Happy to take £112 for a 5 minute visit and then call within 30 mins and say they cannot get the parts and have 'closed the repair' without any apparent effort to source a suitable alternative. I have located the key part with a simple Google search and will end up carrying out the repair myself.

Waste of time didn’t turn up and didn’t bother informing me. I value reliability. This company does not! Loss of a days wage and no repair done. When I called to see where they were, an uninterested response, “Mmm, well we were just fully booked”. Really! Well I received a confirmation of booking email. Obviously their time is far more valuable than mine. Not a good sign of this company who does not think or bother to inform customers.

Sadly my experience is the same as all the other 1 star reviews. Terrible service! Wish I had seen all these reviews previously! We will be reporting this firm. Charged us and left, within a few moments of using the washing machine the appliance starting smelling of a burning smell. We called and they wanted to charge double to come back! We asked for a refund and they said we needed to pay for a 3rd party to prove that what they did was at fault! Outrageous! WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They don't deserve your hard earned money!!

Excellent service - dishwasher was fixed within 24 hours - booked online - no hastle - very knowledgeable engineer who brought the right part first time after we had explained the fault within our booking
