First impressions so far are good. Online application straight forward and price seems competitive. But as with all insurance companies one only finds out how good they are should you need to make a claim.

Appears good coverage, easy to fill in online and renew. Good prices, and if you have any queries easy to phone a number free of charge in Spain with always helpful service.

OK, but help needed on the extra valuable items and the medical screening. The person who assisted was helpful and pleasant. I have purchased travel insurance from Globelink twice and would do so again.

I telephoned and was looked after well. Everything came through on email but it would not print. I could print other things. Anyway, I called the office and a very nice lady said they would print documents, and post them to me.

Swift responses and reasonable prices. Polite staff. They have insured my wife and I for several years but we have never had to make a claim so the proof of the pudding etc........!!

70 is the new 50, that's what we hear BUT insurance companies obviously do not agree. Once you hit 70+ years of age everything changes. Holiday insurance is the worse and even if you are travelling to a country with reciprocal health arrangements holiday insurance includes health cover? We go to Australia every 2 years to visit our son and grandsons and have seen the cost of insurance escalate. Searching the internet the lowest insurance I could find was nearly £700 while others ranged up to £2,500! I came across this company and the only health issue I had was asthma which is well under control. The price was just over £400 to cover both of us for 3 months! The only exception made was that in the event that I had an asthma problem (unlikely) then I would not be covered for it but any other conditions would be covered. How sensible is that! This gives us peace of mind as we know that we would receive treatment under a reciprocal arrangement and happy that the insurance will cover us for everything else. Superb website, filled in the form and in a few minutes I had paid and had my policy ready to print out. Keeping their details for next time.

Tried to telephone and had a message service stating office closed for Bank holiday which was Monday 2nd May BUT I was 'phoning on 8th May. Not impressed

I have not claimed (luckily never had too). I have always used another insurance company but reading the fine print saw I had to have receipts in order to make a claim for lost baggage. I rang the company who confirmed that fact. I don't keep receipts for that long, so I was paying for something I could not use. Globelink allows you to choose not to have this insured and so reduce the cost of the insurance. The documents are delivered electronically but when I emailed to say I didn't have a printer they sent the documents by post. No quibbles which bodes well for the attitude to any claim. Overall a good experience, much better than my traditional insurer.

Good value insurance . I like the fact there's no medical screening if you don't want to, so long as you don't claim for an existing medical illness you,re still covered for a lost suitcase ect

I completed the details online, all quite easy. I do have a medical issue so phoned the number given on Globelink web, quite straight forward, I paid extra to cover the replacement knee! and then completed the Globelink form giving the reference I received from the medical assessment number. Unfortunately I do not have a printer, and didn't want to ask anyone else to print out my insurance, so I phoned customer service. I don't know the name of the person I spoke to but she was very pleasant and said she would send me a hard copy in the post. It arrived the following day!!!! Hopefully I won't need to use the insurance, proof of the pudding would be made at that stage, but I am very happy to recommend the excellent service I have received so far.

After one easily negotiated claim some years ago, we were pleased not to suffer an increased premium subsequently. I have always found them straightforward to deal with.

Living outside the UK, I had a few problems because of age and because of the interface between the website and my server. All was solved when I was contacted by 'phone to resolve the questions.

Bought the travel insurance - annual 71+ policy - on-line. Website clear and easy to navigate. Cover offered clearly stated and with options to increase if considered insufficient. Excellent with approach and attitude to pre-existing medical conditions. Overall good cover at a very reasonable cost. Insurance sorted in about 10 minutes and all documentation received immediately. Premiums very competitive compared with others we looked at.
