“I do like my new Fiat Doblo van but, I am disappointed with it's performance and economy. Although it is the 2.0 135bhp model the engine feels flat and I struggle to get more than 35 mpg according to the computer. I don't think it is helped by having and old fashioned turbocharger, most other vans have a Variable Geometry turbo. My previous van was a Vauxhall Combo 1.7 CDTi which was brilliant. It was much more responsive to drive and easily achieved 50mpg (it also had a modern turbo design). Also, the drivers door mirror does not adjust enough from inside the van, you have to physically push the glass in the mirror to get it where it needs to be. The fuel cap is a nightmare to open and should be re-designed. The quality of the interior is very good though and the steering does feel light and positive. I also had two other new vans from Global, a Fiat Ducato Maxi 3.0 and a Citroen Relay 2.3. The Relay is a good van but, it has the same issue with the fuel cap being a complete pain to use. The aftermarket ply lining was not the best. There was no edging strip on the boards and no protection to the floor under the back door. Where bolts from the door ladder protrude out the back of the door the board was just fitted over it leaving a bulge. It should have had a hole cut in it to allow the board to fit flat. The roof rack was fitted offset to one side and was not straight. We had to remove the screws, straighten it up and re-fit the screws. The DAB radio is very good and the extras you get with the Enterprise version is very worthwhile. The Fiat Ducato Maxi 3.0 is brilliant, it has loads of power and the self levelling suspension we specified is amazing. No matter how much you put on the van it stays level and drives so well you hardly notice it is heavily loaded. I was worried it would be a disappointment after owning a Sprinter before but, it is much better than I expected. Only downsides are the fuel cap design, no protection fitted to the floor under the back doors and the useless 170 degree hinges we ordered. They have no stays, in any position, to hold them in place and are dangerous in windy weather. I would not recommend the 170 degree hinges for the Ducato, Relay or Boxer vans, they are appalling. Overall my experience with Global has been good. Staff are friendly and helpful and the deals I was offered were very good. I would recommend Global Vans 9 out of 10.”

“I have had the van a couple of days now and I am very pleased with it! My experience with Global Vans has been a totally positive experience. I can't say a bad word about how it has gone. Kris on the sales side was very polite, and helpful, as was Amanda who dealt with the admin side. Andy who I also dealt with briefly was also very professional. I would give you 10/10. I have already been recommending you to friends! I will also be coming back as a customer when we upgrade the next van, in around 18 months. My reason for this is as above. Your business is one of those rare finds, where you get value for money, and a great service. I'm sure as with every business, not every transaction goes perfectly well, but in the case of mine I can honestly say it did.”

“The new van was delivered on time and the bodywork, built to our specification by Buckstone Motor Bodies, has been finished to a very high standard. We are delighted with the vehicle! The help and service from both the sales and administration teams has been excellent. They provided sound advice on the vehicle to suit our specific needs, arranged finance, and delivered the new van within a far quicker timescale than any other firms we contacted for quotes, and at a more competitive price! We would certainly highly recommend Global Vans to any friend or organisation.”

As my business had grown this is the first time I have ventured into leasing a new vehicle .. the finance scheme seems to be very sensible and it is such a pleasure to be able to drive a van that hasn't been "trashed or vandalised" in some way by previous users .. and everything works on it!!”

Hi Marusak, thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry that you feel we let you down. I can see that you placed the order on the 11/05 and you took delivery on the 9/6, (approx. 4 weeks turnaround), this is longer than we would typically expect for a stock vehicle which typically takes 10-14 days. this was partly down to a delay on the Ford transport department and partly a delay of 11 days on receiving the finance documents back from you. I do apologise for the Ford delays, they have now resolved this issue but I can appreciate it was annoying at the time. regarding the missing roof rack, again sorry for this, I can see from your file a fitter did come out to you a couple of days later to fit the roof rack. Once again thank you for the business and I hope you enjoy the Ford Transit Custom.
