Seriously??? Gildeas failed to get any kind of settlement…..took me to court for their expenses….lost…appealed the court decision... lost again. Don’t have anything to do with them. Sue me

Communication wasn't good in my case. I had to email to ask for updates. I was told my medical report hadn't been received when it had (evidence provided by the medical company). No explanation until I chased this up. This added weeks into the claim. Between July when I had the accident until this month December, I was told no offer was made. The day I emailed saying this was odd I got a reply afternoon time saying it had been sent first thing check my junk mail. Then the offer email magically appeared a few minutes later. I felt like I was annoying baggage that my case handler had to deal with not a client. I had asked my case be passed to someone else Nicola phoned confirming bank details and when I'd said communication could be better ie when advising me to reject the offer and I said ok a simple confirmation saying this has been done would be helpful only to be told Nicola doesn't sit at her email all day. All emails can be shown. Time, date stamps etc. Still unsure who is now handling my claim. I will also provide feedback to my insurance company who use Gildeas.

I have rarely felt as unimportant as a client as I have during my unfortunate experience with Gildeas. To have to remind your staff that I was the client when they seemed too disinterested to revisit a medical consultation which was littered with errors and during which I wasn’t even examined was bad enough, but to be accused of ‘specialist shopping’ during that conversation was beyond reproach. Had it not been for my determination to receive suitable recourse for an accident which was 100% not my fault - which the 3rd party insurers had paid out for my vehicles two years previously- I am sure the settlement for my uninsured losers would have been much poorer. While it is just another case to your team, to me it’s my health, pain and future. Never did I feel that any of that mattered to your team. Appalling approach. I fervently hope i am never in a situation to have to deal with your company again.

Hi Lynsae, We are sorry to read about your disappointment at our service. Whilst we do deal with a lot of claims, there is no such thing as “just another case” to us. Each case has its own unique circumstances and clients with individual needs which we do our utmost to cater to. We understand that the claims process by its very nature, is very emotive and this can be exacerbated by the amount of time injury claims can take to resolve. I do note having looked at your file that there was an issue with our medical provider and I have spoken to them about this and I apologise that your experience with us was affected by this. It’s important to point out that claims exist to put people back in the position they would have been, had they not have been involved in the incident for which they are claiming. Claims rely on evidence and when it comes to medical evidence for instance, if evidence suggests a condition is pre-existing, then the legal system could not in good faith, allow a claim for something that may not have been caused by the incident. We know that sometimes this conclusion may disappoint some people, and that is of course the last thing we want, but that is an occupational hazard and we do our level best to manage expectations to the best of our ability. We apologise that you feel that determination was required on your part, I have looked into the case personally and can see that whilst you may have felt there was no positive motion, the team had progressed enquiries expeditiously and with due diligence. We do set out our approach when it comes to providing updates at the beginning of a case, and always get in touch where we have positive updates to provide. Due to the nature of claims cases with numerous parties involved, there are periods of time between updates. If someone feels they need updating more regularly to reassure them the case is still in progress, we are happy to do that. We always welcome conversations where people have concerns as we pride ourselves on being open and transparent, so, if you would like to discuss the matter further, please do get in touch, we’d be glad to assist. The Paralegal gave verbal authorization, told me to keep receipts then denied she had done this.

I dong understand these good reviews I dont hear from the person dealing with my case (Glasgow) She's not been in contact with me at all I thought the ID be kept up to date with the process but its only been me thats contacting once 😩 I was hit by a drunk driver

Unhelpful. Chased my own case and as soon as the liable was granted, Gildeas Edinburgh knew they weren’t going to make money out of it, they told me they could not continue with my case. The girl who was dealing with it had no clue and had to keep going to her manager. Very poor communication, Would not recommend.

Case gets passed around, communication towards the end basically non existant. I would not use again if i ever needed a solicitor.
