“The whole interaction with GetHair was professional and, importantly, at my pace. Never once did I feel pressured into making a decision. I can't imagine that can be said very often! Also having a UK-based office to deal with helped to feel a level of comfort that I doubt I would have had if dealing with the clinic directly in Turkey. Overwhelmingly, however, I got comfort from the sheer volume of positive reviews which are clearly genuine reviews. I can report that I had an experience in line with the many other positive reviews left here. My story would be the same as most others, a positive story. In brief, the driver met me at the airport and I was taken to the hotel - 2hrs due to the horrendous Istanbul traffic. Hotel was much nicer than I anticipated; seriously nice but strangely quiet. At dinner of the other 4/5 tables in use, 2 had transplant patients, so when the following day arrives and you are also bandaged up it is nothing the hotel staff don't see everyday, I found that comforting. I am 2wks post-surgery and, having followed the post-operative care diligently I think I am in good shape. I would urge 2wks away from work post-surgery. The first few days are a little uncomfortable as your body gets over the anesthetic and the sleeping sitting up isn't easy, that soon passes however. Then there is scabbing on from days 8-12 which isn't the prettiest. If you are lucky enough to be able to take off longer then good for you, but that would not be necessary for physical comfort purposes. Top Tip - As you are encouraged to keep your head out of the rain and direct sunlight for a period of time post-surgery, I would encourage you to buy a loose fitting hat (one that won't directly contact your recipient area) for use once you get home. Dr T does provide one that is handy in the first instance, but it is also branded (light blue text on a black hat) so you may want something more subtle for when you first venture outdoors. If FUE is something you are interested in then I would recommend Dr Tayfun for the reasons outlined above and in other reviews regardless of the price, pleasingly as cheaper than similar surgeries in the UK it is also better value. “I had my procedure done just over 2 weeks ago now and I have already noticed a difference in growth. All scabs have fallen off within the 14 days as informed, and my hair is definitely looking fuller already. Great service from Gethair from start to finish. I have already recommended Gethair to about 8 people who are interested in gaining a better head of hair, and I have to say the whole experience was flawless. All correspondence and contact from Stuart Cumming and Mel in Istanbul when I arrived, has been first class. At no point during the first contact I had with Gethair, have I had any doubts or concerns about the procedure from leaving the UK to returning back again. On the morning of my procedure, I sat at breakfast and was surrounded by 6 or 7 others who had obviously had the procedure carried out the day before. This made me feel a lot more at ease knowing I wasn’t going to be the only person in the hotel with bandages and headband. The aftercare products and contact have also been first class, with all queries and questions answered immediately. Due to others seeing me in the flesh post op and telling them of my experience, I’m sure you will have quite a few enquiries from my area. Thank you very much for a first class professional experience. I would most definitely highly recommend Gethair to anyone wishing to have a hair transplant, as the whole experience was truly flawless and worth every penny. Thank you very much Stuart and team.”

“I can’t recommend this enough, the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve always wanted a hair transplant but thought it was an unaffordable pipe dream but after doing some research I realised that Turkey was the place to go. From the moment I contacted Get Hair they were fantastic. I dealt with Stuart who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Once I decided that I was going to get the procedure done I only had a small time frame as I was in-between jobs, Stuart managed to get my procedure scheduled for a few weeks later, which worked perfectly for me. When I arrived at the airport in Istanbul my transfer was already waiting for me. It was about a 30-minute drive to the hotel, I must say that the driving in Istanbul was quite an experience; the white lines on the road seem to mean nothing! The hotel was nice and clean and very close to the hospital which was handy in the morning. I was told that I would be collected at 9am the next morning, my lift was already waiting when I arrived in reception. When I arrived at the hospital all worries that I had were put to rest. The hospital looked more advanced than any I have been to in the UK. The receptionists in Dr Tayfun’s office were very welcoming and informative which helped me feel at ease. The procedure itself only took 4-5 hours, everything was explained to me at each stage. It was completely painless; Dr Tayfun and the nurses did a great job to make me feel at ease. After the procedure I was bandaged up and given my instructions for the night. I was a bit sceptical about going down for breakfast the next morning but decided to brave it, I’m sure the staff are used to seeing people in my state! I was then taken to the hospital for my initial wash and follow up session where everything regarding the post-op care was explained. I’m 3 months in now and already over the moon with my results, it is already miles better than I expected! My scabs were clear by day 10 and I haven’t experienced the mass shedding that seems to affect most people. The remaining hairs have also started to grow which has surprised me as everything I have been told and reads indicated that they don’t start growing until the 3 month mark. Now I’m at 3 months I should hopefully start seeing the new hairs coming through. I’m looking forward to seeing how it groves over the next few months.”

“Absolutely happy with the results, the doctor Ilker was excellent, the staff, New Age clinic was incredible, Stuart in customer service resolved all my inquiries (around 30 emails asking everything) and every detail around the FUE procedure was flawless. I totally recommend Gethair for this treatment. The experience was better than expected. I came with an initial report of 3.400 grafts but in the procedure, they could extract +4.400 because my donor area was in good conditions, and all this with the same price. In addition, I was in a hotel with many others patients from other clinics and I can say comparing the other experiences, that mine was even better than most of the people there.”

“My experience from beginning to end has been very smooth. The London office made my booking and transfer to and from the airport easy, and were always at hand when I needed some help. The medical team was superb, Dr Ilker was super and made me very relaxed and confident. I am very pleased with the aftercare service and also with the results I am seeing so soon. “I could not recommend GetHair enough. Every member of the team were extremely professional and delivered exactly what was promised. From the initial contact with Kaan right the way through to Mustapha the driver dropping me off for my return flight, the whole journey and procedure was executed to perfection. Id like to thank all the staff, nurses, Nasimi and Dr Tayfun. Arriving in Istanbul on your own for a procedure like this can be daunting but GetHair did everything to make me feel at ease. Its only been 7 days since my transplant and healing very well. The aftercare from GetHair as been excellent and I cant wait to see the final results.”

“I have been worrying about my hair loss since I was 19 it has been a issue for me every day since, I’m now 25 and nearly 2 weeks ago I got a hair transplant with get hair, what a fantastic experience, everything was so straight forward any question I had was awnsered by Stuart, the driver I had for the weekend was brilliant they was always very informative and made me feel comfortable, hotel was superb defiant five star in which I had room service the whole time! Operation day I had a consultation in the morning he explained in detail the plan of the op and we was under way, there was no pain and they put the tv on for you to watch, so far I am very happy with the experience! I chose get hair due to the amount of research I have been doing online the past year, I have already recommend this company to my brother and he is getting ready to make his booking. “Over the past 6 years I have been considering a hair transplant and I have researched this surgery in great depth. This has included, countries offering the surgery, types of surgery available, quality of surgeons, and costs. This prior work enabled me to understand the great benefits that Turkey could offer me and why I choose it as my destination. There are a number of surgeons who are well rated in Turkey and if you research this you will see that there are probably a handful of rated qualified surgeons who are experienced and recognised worldwide, with Dr Tayfun being one of these. I submitted my details for surgery and I was contacted by Stuart Cuming who was excellent. He answered all my questions and his words of advice made me decide to go for it. Spoke to Stuart on the phone numerous times to work out dates and timings. Nothing was too much trouble and within a few weeks I was booked and ready to go. On arrival in Turkey passport control was very busy and took over an hour to get through which I was concerned about buy my driver was waiting patiently and 45 mins later I was relaxing in my hotel bedroom. Picked up the second day after a good night’s sleep and taken to see Dr T for my consultation. Everything was explained and I was good to go. I was introduced to the team, head shaved, procedure started, quick stop for lunch, and 3800 grafts later the procedure was finished. Final check by Dr T and then 5 mins drive back to hotel. I was then picked up on the morning of day 3 for a further check and aftercare advice and then back to hotel. The aftercare advice is invaluable and my friends who have had hair surgery done in the UK couldn't believe the instructions and tablets I was given to ensure no infection and successful growth. I decided to stay another night in Turkey rather than fly out directly after the consultation. I was then picked up on day 4 driven to airport and dropped off for flight back to UK. What else can I say………….apart from wishing I had contacted Dr T years earlier……everything was first class. If you are reading this review then do not hesitate and get the surgery done by Dr T and his team as they are all superb. I am only 3 months after my procedure and I have good growth starting. Do not worry about any pain. There is very little. Anaesthetic can nip a little but apart from that you feel nothing. Slight head swelling on day 5 but was it was gone by day 8. Stuart still keeps in contact and I keep him updated of progress and will be supplying him with photographs soon to send to Dr T Some tips that will help you on your journey include booking Turkish Airlines business class...well worth the extra money spent to ensure some privacy on the way home and reducing the chance of someone dropping luggage on your head, I took 3 weeks annual leave after the procedure which was great, and also I kept away from heavy exercise for 2 months which worked for me……and the overall cost for surgery and flights was half the price of what I was quoted in the UK. Looking forward to the next 6 months to see how my hair continues to grow.”

“This is a honest review for anyone searching the internet trying to find the best hair transplant possible for them. I’d read a lot of reviews from people who were unsure if a hair transplant was for them, however I already knew that was what I was going to do to help combat hair loss, so the question for me was ‘where’? I’d already had an FUT transplant back in 2014 and knew back then that I would need another several as I would recede more in the future, and I don’t take any medication to stop hair loss. I had my first transplant at a clinic in the UK, great service and clinic etc, but price was way more than abroad. I decided to look further afield for surgery, primarily to save money. I done what whoever reading probably did and searched for hair transplant turkey and found a list of different clinics, all offering great prices. Next I spoke to several and immediately after speaking to Stuart, GetHair was the clinic I wanted to use. I was informed fully of the surgeon, his team, the clinic, the hotel etc... I was met at the airport by a great bloke, who took me to my hotel then to and from the clinic and back to the airport, no messing about. 10/10. I believe the hotel was a 5 star, and you could tell this as soon as you walked in the front doors (which had security on). Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym, modern room, food was excellent. 10/10. The important bit, the transplant. Clinic was spotless, and like a well oiled machine. The surgeon was honest, clearly very knowledgeable and bags of experience. I received 2800 grafts, by FUE. It took a team of about 6 or 7 people about 6 hours. It’s been one week post operation and I’m so happy with the results so far. “After trying a number of different approaches to preventing my increasing hair loss I started to research the options for an FUE procedure. I spent almost 12 months researching this procedure in detail, including many hours of internet browsing, and watching numerous online videos and reviews. It became clear to me that despite the significant number of offerings in the market place, that Get Hair consistently received very good reviews and results. I widely compared the costs of remaining in the U.K for surgery to those of travelling to Turkey...the difference is very significant. Like most I had some trepidation around the thoughts of travelling abroad for treatment, but again I was reassured by online reviews and videos from others that had done the same....thanks to Chris & Sal amongst others!. I decided as a New Years resolution that I needed to get this done in 2018, and I made an appointment for a consultation with Get Hair(Stuart)in their London Office in Jan 2018, the consultation was both and reassuring and informative...and my decision was made. Following photos that were taken on the day, I was sent a detailed report along with a quotation explaining the number of grafts required. Once the date of surgery was confirmed I arranged flights and my visa...the remaining arrangements(transfers and hotels) are part of the package. My time in Istanbul was fantastic, the arrangements made by Get Hair were seamless and everything went like clockwork. Great Hotel...hospital is 5mins away!, transfer and drivers professional and prompt. My surgery was carried out my Dr Tayfun...great to meet him after watching him in action online!. The rest of the hospital team were very reassuring and friendly....big shout out to Galina and Betty! My Turkish language has improved a little, but there is no language barrier as their English is very good. It was interesting to get my first ever 'Buzz cut'...in preparation. The actual procedure was very comfortable and took about 5hrs start to finish which was shorter than I expected I was back at the Hotel at 16.30 that day. The next day I returned for an hour in the morning to have a hair wash and and aftercare session explanation from Galina...all very thorough. The rest of the day was a chilax before a transfer back to the airport for my flight home. I have now been home for 2 days and I can't wait to see the progress over the next few months, even seeing a new front hairline is exciting. In conclusion I would recommend Get Hair and traveling to Turkey to anyone thinking about this procedure it's easy and straightforward!.”

“After a few months of reading forum posts and independent reviews for hair transplants, I decided on having the procedure with Dr Tayfun and GetHair. I made an enquiry on the website and Stuart in the London office got back to me pretty quickly. He asked that I take some photos so that Dr T could give a detailed analysis of my needs and my options. Following this, I decided to proceed with the procedure in January. As Stuart advised, my driver was waiting at the Vodafone Kiosk in the airport, waiting to drive me to the hotel. The drive took about 30 minutes and he waited until I got checked in successfully. I received a call from the clinic that night to make sure that I had arrived and to advise me on what time the driver would arrive in the morning. The drive to the clinic was only a couple of minutes from the hotel, and the driver walked in with me and made sure I got where I needed to be. From then on, the process was very seamless and quick. Dr T asked about my expectations and, as soon as we agreed, my hair was shaved. I was then taken straight to the next room to begin the procedure. My interpreter, Galina, was always close by and able to talk me through each step. I had read online that the injections for the local anaesthetic were painful but it honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. After about a minute I didn't really feel anything. My procedure took just over three hours, so it was pretty quick, and I actually fell asleep near the end. It just reinforces how relaxed I felt in the staff's capable and friendly hands. After we finished, I was given pain relief for later in the evening. I did have a little pain later in the afternoon so I took the pain relief a little early, and by morning I didn't feel a thing. I was a little self conscious getting breakfast in the hotel the next morning but there were other hair transplant patients so it helped me relax. The driver brought me back to the clinic, where I was given instructions and medication to take for the following weeks. I had seen some pretty bad pictures online but I got pretty lucky in that my face didn't get swollen at all. I brought a travel pillow for the plane journey back and slept on it for the first few nights to keep my neck elevated. It wasn't the most comfortable to sleep in but no pain no gain! It has been just over 10 weeks since the procedure and I already notice the difference. New hairs started growing a couple of weeks ago and it has been very exciting to check on progress each day. I am so pleased that I decided on GetHair and it is still early days yet but I already feel more confident and for that I will always be thankful.”

“My Journey to GetHair! JS (61 year old Male, Liverpool) After 25 years of lotions, potions, hair systems and hair thickening, sprays I finally took the plunge to investigate the potential benefits of having a hair transplant. My research led me to GetHair! The journey (in my opinion) was dictated by a number of factors – cost (third of the cost as opposed to the UK), quality of the hair transplantation and the benefit of having access to genuine quality customer reviews. I assure you that this was not an easy decision to make given the competitive nature of the HT industry and my own personal fears/anxiety of “going for it!” Once my decision was made I knew GetHair was without doubt the company to trust when restoring my lost locks! They have been absolutely brilliant pre and post surgery. My supportive guide (Stuart Cuming) who was extremely professional allayed any fears and questions that I may have had and at no point was pushy in over selling the benefits of GetHair. Once I had made the decision I was confident that it was the right thing to do. I arrived in Istanbul on 28th Feb 2018. I was picked up by my driver (who had been waiting patiently at Ataturk Airport) and taken to my 4 star hotel, where I spent the evening before my procedure. On the 1st March I had a hearty breakfast and then prepared to be picked by my driver at 8:30 am. The hospital is literally 400 metres away from the hotel and I was sitting in reception at 8:34 am anxiously awaiting, what the day would hold for me. My interpreter introduced herself and I was then taken in to have my consultation with Dr Tayfun (a quiet, professional, nice, unassuming guy) who very quickly filled me with confidence re the day ahead! His team where absolutely brilliant! They where caring, professional and made me feel very relaxed with dare I say it some humorous one liners (especially re my “Muppet” socks) which evaporated any anxiety I may have had and made the whole procedure quite enjoyable! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole GetHair team from Stuart through to Dr Tayfun and his team for their caring professionalism throughout the whole process. I now eagerly await my results!!! Thank you GetHair!!!”

“I had been thinking about getting a hair transplant for a number of years. I was told about GetHair through a friend. I researched online and was confident in the videos and in the reviews GetHair was getting online. I emailed Kaan in 2017 and he provided me with a detailed report on what they would suggest doing and what it would cost, at this time I was not yet ready but in early 2018 I contacted Kaan again to proceed. I got my operation date for early March. Kann was very clear on how the procedure would go and the company was excellent from the start of the process and are still great post op. From the moment you arrive in Istanbul you are well taken care of. The driver brings you to the hotel and stays with you until you check in. The local coordinator who has perfect English calls you and talks you through what will happen the next day. The driver picks you up the next day and not only brings you to the hospital but brings you right up to Dr.Tayfun's clinic. From there the staff welcome you and talk you through what is going to happen. When you are prepared you go and consult with Dr.Tayfun, then you go in and you are put under local anesthetic and the Dr opens your channels and gets them ready for the implants, then the nurses work at taking the hairs from your donor area and finally the nurses distribute the hairs to your transplanted area. The whole process took five hours and I was made as comfortable as possible. The staff were relaxed and very good humored which created even more confidence. After I had lunch and the nurse went through my aftercare I was brought back to the hotel to rest for the day. The next morning I was picked up and brought back to the hospital, my head was washed and I was talked through my aftercare in great detail. This was done in a very professional way I could ask as many questions as I wanted but this was not necessary as the information provided was so comprehensive and was backed up by an instruction booklet and a follow up aftercare email from Kann later that day. It is great when a company over delivers on its promises and I'm confident to recommend GetHair to anyone who wants a great result. I'm only nine days after the operation but I'm happy already. If I was to give two tips they would be to stay in Istanbul for a couple of extra days, its a great city, I would also get the visa before you travel, you can get it on arrival but its easier to get it online before you travel.”
