We haven't yet (and hope not to) used the service yet but have found cuStomer service excellent with prompt communication.

Just renewed with GEM I had to call them out about 6 weeks ago and the breakdown attended very promptly. They were unable to diagnose and rectify the issue so I was conveyed home. It transpired it was a faulty sensor which would not have been a roadside fix, so overall a good service was provided with no fuss. Thanks

I received excellent service on the teleiphone, despite the fact that I called less than 5 minutes before closing time. The agent was courteous and patient and carried out my wishes to my entire satisfaction

This is my first experience of GEM and I would say that the subscription website was easy to use. Did use the online chat as well and it all seemed to be professional and efficient - I guess the acid test is when I have to use the breakdown service. Hopefully I'm paying for something I never have to call on.

Seems a much price than I was paying. Had breakdown cover for a year. Fed up of paying more money each year for not using it. I will recommend to my friends and family.

No issues with the service. Concerned at the increase in cost for a service I may well never use, I thought very seriously about cancelling for this reason alone. If the cost increases next year I may well cancel and not have breakdown cover. Surely a no claims discount scheme would encourage customers like me that almost never claim would help to retain customers, keep them happier and encourage customers to minimise claims by ensuring their cars are always well maintained.

Lots of research. Who are GEM? Good reviews, decent price (can get cheaper but this service needs to be better than cheap when you are stranded somewhere remote!). Great expectations ????

Very easy to go on line and register....I hope I don't need you guys....The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, if and when I have a problem..That will be a time to write how you respond. Dave Hill

The proof of the pudding ... . It was very easy to join GEM online, but of course I hope never to have to use them. Only then can I give them a true rating on customer service.

Not sure why I've been asked to do this, because I've been a GEM members for many years. All I needed to do was to enquire about adding one of my sons to the cover, and this was dealt with speedily and helpfully by the person on the other end of the phone.

Unable to comment on the service of the breakdown service, as I have only just joined and not yet had to make a call out. That said, the assistance and service I had on the phone to resolve a payment issue was second to none. Cannot fault.

Thankfully I have not used my Gem motoring assist, so not able to give you a rating for your service. To date the 5 stars must go to my car and luck. Long may it continue.
