Good website, easy to navigate and clearly indicated exactly the cover provided under each level. I also received through the post a handy card with all the details required in case of a breakdown. Great value for money and stress free reassurance!

I am afraid that you did not score very well this year for membership renewal, as your staff appear to have adopted a disregard for the customer in the form of "lets not listen too carefully as to what they are saying!" . I e-mailed your company to explain that I could not get further than your Home Page when I logged on to renew. This occurred every day for 5 days. Though I did manage to procure the overseas cover through your site. In frustration I went next door to my neighbour to attempt access beyond the home page, alack and alas, no joy. I received and returned you staff's phone call in offering assistance, BUT! the good lady did not listen carefully as to what I was saying, she just kept on reciting a prepared speech, no good!. I was then passed on to IT who proceeded in the same vein. Now when I say very clearly that I cannot get beyond the home page, I do not want a lesson in how to log on when I cannot get there!!!. He then made a statement that the browser I choose to use may not be compatible with your systems. I came very, very, close in abandoning my membership with you. I am infuriated with the first two members of staff with their attitude, but because I believe in your company, I demanded to pay over the phone, something simple that someone could get their head around. Your second lady member of staff retrieved the day for you. But I hasten to add, if you will not be utilising certain web browsers, then please let it be known to unaware parties like myself. I remain disillusioned with GEM and will think twice next year. One hitch and I'm off. Regards Mr A Westron. membership no. 001500048880

I've been with GEM for more years than the proverbial donkey. They have been unfailingly nice and helpful. The two bills I paid to my garage, for breakdowns over the years, were reimbursed by GEM very quickly indeed. We have great confidence when travelling, knowing we have full cover and so will get helped or home. Phoning GEM is always a pleasant experience. I'm sure their receptionists must have a bad day now and then - but I've never known it. Great stuff Gemmies - and thank you. Gordon Steer.

On telephoning GEM to confirm we were covered for removing my wife's car from our home address to the main dealer, recovery was arranged immediately for the next morning at 8:40. On the following morning I received several texts updating me on the time the breakdown vehicle would be with me. When the vehicle hadn't turned up 30 minutes after I was told it would I telephoned the breakdown company to ask where they were & was told their driver had been delayed. At the same time we were telephoned by GEM & my wife told them the vehicle was still on it's way to us, GEM then apologised & offered to text us with further updates, we declined saying we'd ring them if the breakdown company didn't arrive within the next 15 minutes, which they did. Overall I am very impressed with the service your company deliver & the obvious care you take over your customers. In conclusion I would like to say, I've been a member of GEM for 6 years & always found your service excellent & have no intention of changing to any other company in the future.

The information on the web made it clear what the policy covered. In my case I wanted to know if the policy covered breakdowns when towing a caravan. This was not obvious in the information immediately available for other providers. It was quick and easy to pay and join Gem.

Brilliant service from the call center, quick & efficient. Didn't appreciate receiving the same 6 text every hour, from 1.30am to 6.30am confirming the transaction, when I had to be up for work that day.

The Lady I spoke to was very pleasant, helpfull and engaging and provided me with all the information I needed. I am happ with the price and happy with the level of cover. I can now travel anywhere n th country without ever having to worry about breaking down

Website and what is covered are easy to understand. I joined GEM because Which had them highly recommended in there survey, which gives you a good sense of what other people think. I have to date not used them so I am unable to comment, but I have no doubt that they will surpass my expectations. My dealings with them so far has been very enjoyable, they are professional, friendly extremely helpful and considerate. The price was also a lot cheaper than my previous breakdown and with GEM I have home start included. What more can I say. If in doubt just join you will not regret it.

Very easy to arrange cover online. A third of the cost of my AA cover ( had been with them 29 years, but was shocked at the renewal quote). Not had to call GEM out yet so fingers crossed all will be ok, should the eventuality arise. Judging by other online reviews I have read, and independent awards, I'm expecting a good service.

European cover looked like an after thought on the site.It also is rather expensive though I can understand why to some extent.

Gem handled my breakdown as expected - good customer service, breakdown vehicle arrived within the hour as promised and cause solved quickly. Very competitive price.
