I have previously been very grateful to Gem when embarrassingly, I ran out of fuel and they assisted very quickly. On another occasion, my car battery failed and again they came to the rescue very quickly. The refunding of charges to the breakdown service was quick and trouble free each time.

It can be a long drawn out affair searching for the best insurance or breakdown service online, but once I found GEM I was immediately impressed with the ease of use site & (of course) the great deal they offered me!

Joining was easy, accepting business should be but lots of British operations are woeful. I like the personal cover. No acres of small print, if u r in the car, it's covered. I don't want to deal with section 5 sub clause 7c on the M25 on a rainy Friday evening

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We would like to point out that because your cover with us is Personal and not vehicle specific it enables you to be covered driving any vehicle (as long as that vehicle is covered under our terms & conditions). Therefore giving you far more flexibility than being restricted to cover for just the one vehicle.

Very satisfied to date. Apologies to whoever I spoke to when renewing. Two sheets of letter were stuck together and I had not seen the section relating to 12 months for price of 11.

Service has been OK on the very few times of called on it over the last few years, the only negative being the very long wait. However, I do object to being charged more for a renewal than if I purchased the same cover as a new customer.
