I have been with GEM for several years I was attracted by the 2 for price of 1 cover so I provide breakdown cover for me an my son. I did break down on the M25 about 2 years ago on my way to Gatwick Airport for holiday. GEM Arranged recovery and the operator dropped me off at Gatwick just in time to catch my flight, the recovery operator took my car for repair to a local garage who contacted me while I was on holiday. I was pleased with the service provided by GEM and their recovery operator.

Yet I do not know the star rat but i can submit for example 5 star because my policy not start now. And any practical activities. But I can say that the person Mr Tariq jadoon who recommended me.He is very impressed and happy. Let see in the future. Good luck to us. Thanks Zahidullah Afgani

The GEM staff were very helpful at all times. I was disappointed that it took over an hour for the breakdown vehicle to arrive. I then had to ring the breakdown company twice before I received the invoice, which obviously delayed submitting my claim. Once the claim was received by GEM it was processed very quickly. Overall, no complaints about GEM but not impressed by the breakdown company

Only had to use breakdown service once in about 3 years, but found it straightforward. Have called technical help line for advice twice and found this immensely useful and the gentleman I spoke to,a mine of information. Well done!

As a new member I had the need of GEMS services on Boxing Day last year. I have nothing but praise in the way the whole call out was dealt with. From the initial call into the call centre where my details were handled very efficiently, the arrival of the breakdown truck within 30 minutes and the way in which the engineer dealt with the fault. All very good. Also the follow up phone call from the call centre completed what was a most pleasant experience. If all call outs are handled in this fashion then no complaints whatsoever.

Damaged wing, bolt broken off of wheel. Refused to take responsibility for damage [lof course I was the one who took the tyre off of the car .... Not]. Weeks of waiting for an answer!! Gave my telephone number toThe company who damaged my car after I said I didn't want to be contacted by them which resulted in a call from them saying they're not paying nothing! Very shabby I'd say

Having used all the other vehicle recovery companies at one time or another I have to say Gem are way ahead in terms of customer care an support. Easy to contact and staff are very switched-on, courteous and friendly. This is the first time I have used Gem and will certainly continue to use them having already recommended them to friends and family.

4 1/2 hours wait after repeated untruthful advice from call centre. Originally told 1 1/2 hours, then when called back after 2 hours they said another 1/2 hour. This was repeated on 3 successive calls over the ensuing hours until they finally arrived after 4 1/2 hours. Our breakfown was in Waltom on Thames, a highly populated area near to the M25 and within reach of numerous recovery companies, but for some reason our recovery vehicle had been ordered from a company based over 40 miles away in Borehamwood! Ridiculous to wait this long for help, but worse than this was the totally unacceptable repeated untruthfulness of the call centre staff. I shall not be renewing my subscription and shall return to the AA. You get what you pay for.

I have been with GEM for a few years now and unfortunately have had to use there breakdown services twice, both times they have been courteous, swift and helpful. Have literally just recommended to a friend look for cover.

the few times I've used it have always been good. Dropping off car and caravan to separate locations Prompt delivery of a cheque to reimburse our costs. have used for many years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend

The whole experience was very good - the phone contact worked well, and the time of arrival of the breakdown truck was confirmed to me by phone, and was as nearly exact as the M25 allows! The driver assessed what the problem was, loaded up and took me to the garage I requested, with no difficulties. He was helpful and polite. I was very satisfied.

We have been with GEM Motoring Assist for around 15 years and have had 2 occasions when we needed help. Both times the response has been relatively speedy, the responders were helpful and courteous, and we went on our way without too much of a delay. One breakdown was a bad puncture on the M3 while on my way to work early in the morning, the other was just outside Farnham, Surrey after a day out with the grandchildren when part of the engine compartment became flooded.
