Taking out GEM motoring Assist is quick & easy, just having two options that are competitively priced makes selection easy. Have not had to use it as yet so I cannot comment on that.

VERY straightforward website,clear t's and c's...no age limit on vehicles (i own severalmotorcycles as well as car),i'll let you know if i need to call them out..very pleased :)

Contacted GEM by email to query policy regarding older vehicles then saw contact number so rang.Spoke to a lady at GEM who answered my query an confirmed email received.Very friendly, helpful.Joined GEM after concluding conversation

Brand new customer. I liked the ease of joining and that everything is in one package... No need to think and consider what is needed... just cover it all in one go, and at an affordable price.

Joining was trouble free, apart from having to re-enter my data as I took time to read the contract terms and conditions etc and the process had timed out. Otherwise very straightforward.

Recommend by my Daughter who’s been a member for some time. Seems more expensive than average but working on the premise that you get what you pay for. Joining process very easy.

I would have highlighted 'very good' but for one thing missing. If I were to unfortunately break down, then it would be convenient if I had a windscreen sticker or similar showing me the emergency numbers to ring GEM Assist.

Clear explanation of the choices on offer, with no pressure. It was pointed out that l had a 14 day cooling off period, which made the decision of what cover to go for much easier. It remains only to see what happens if l have a breakdown!

It is not clear on the application page if cover is provided from home on either Extra or Reclaim. A 1/4 mile from home is repeatedly mentioned, but not From Home. The text on all pages should be clarified. A common breakdown will be at the home address eg failure to start. To not cover this for either service is useless.
