Have had a use GEM on numerous occasions. Staff are friendly and professional and any time I have broken down I have experienced a first class service!

Very polite and efficient telephone service for membership renewals, very competitively priced cover, good quarterly members magazine with lots of interesting features. Have been very fortunate so far, as I have not had a breakdown to need to call upon their services.

Price is very very competitive.Service,if you need it,is good.Have not needed to use the call out service this year,but last time I did the waiting time for an engineer was acceptable(about 30 minutes). Having to pay at the time of call-out is not an issue for me when I take into account how much more I would have to pay for membership of the AA or RAC. I expect to renew again with GEM when my renewal is due (late April, I believe).

I had a engine dashdoard light stay on and was worried. Your emergency repair guys assured me it was ok to continue my journey home and followed me home to reassure me. Gem assist well done

I have not had the occasion to call out Breakdown assistance. However GEM were great and efficienct when I was organising our holiday in Ireland last year.

I was told the recovery guy would be with me in 60-90 minutes. He turned up bang on the 90 minutes deadline! He was very friendly and helpful and got me on my way quickly.

I have never required the break down service in the many years I have been with this company but the Daughters car broke down a few months back and after contacting GEM she was informed a recovery vehicle was on its way and would be twenty minutes. After 75 minutes she phoned them back and was told the recovery vehicle was stuck in traffic and would be a further half a HR. I decided to go take a look and found the brake calliper had snapped so I towed it home and repaired it after phoning GEM to cancel the recovery vehicle. The call centre apologised and said they would investigate the delay yet no contact has ever been made with myself the policy holder or my Daughter who is on the policy. No explanation has ever been provided and I hope this is not the normal service provided by this company.

I broke down on my motorcycle and called GEM via the emergency telephone on the dual carriageway. Attendance was prompt and the refund of the fee I paid was made the following day. Excellent service, thank you.

I recently moved from RAC after 11 years and i spoke to a very bice agent who told me that all documents would be sent to me via the post but after nearly a month i have received nothing only membership cards

Fortunately I haven't needed them very often but when I have called them out they have been prompt, courteous and helpful. They're absolutely invaluable for peace of mind. They also do personal cover rather than just covering the car, which is great. I would recommend them to anyone

I have in the past been with the AA and RAC, however GEM is the best breakdown service that I have used. I recently had to use the "At Home" service, because the electronic handbrake had seized. They first sent out a company ( who arrived within 30 min) to see if the could release it, but that failed, then asked where I would like the car taken, I said to Seven Oaks in Kent, where the main dealer is. They said yes that's fine and duly organised a pick up truck to take the car. Now that doesn't sound out of the normal for a breakdown service, but I live in North London, so to Seven Oaks is quite a distance. I am quite certain the AA or RAC would not have been so obliging ! The other thing about GEM they are much cheaper than either the AA or RAC, and more importantly, give a better service !

Hi, this product was very competitively priced for my first year, and completely met my motoring needs, however when it came to renewal time, as is often the case, my renewal premium was almost doubled. Unfortunately this was not acceptable. Kind regards

Very good while I was with GEM - but as I haven't been with GEM for quite some time now, I find it rather odd that I'm being asked to write a review ........ doesn't exactl;y fill me brim full of confidence that GEM's admin is all that it should be!
