“I have always found GEM breakdown cover very proficient and resonsive on the odd occasion when i have required assistance, hence i had no hesitation in renewing my aquaintance with you when i accidently allowed my membership to lapse due to work commitments which kept me away from home for 16 hours a day with no access to landline or internet at work. I hope i will not need your assistance again but it is reasuring to no you are there just in case. Best regards Tony M.”

“Signup is easy, communication generally good. However, the one time I have used them for assistance it took nearly 3 hours to arrive. It wasn't a particularly busy day or remote location and the weather was good so I think this is fairly normal. I kept phoning them and they kept assuring me someone was on the way but forecast times were wildly optimistic. I might have got assistance faster on that occasion if I had simply phoned around some local companies. It's maybe still worth joining for the peace of mind. I'm giving them another try because I haven't found anyone better.”

“Found it difficult to understand the phrasing of a tick box regarding receiving documents through the post. The box was already ticked so I thought this means I will receive printed material (insurance documents) in the post (but I may be wrong)”

“Registering on the website was easy, however there is a fault on the website that wouldn't allow me to enter the correct start date (it starts automatically 'midnight tomorrow') but entering that date produced an error, so I had to enter the subsequent day i.e. two days hence after midnight. Hopefully I won't ever need to use the recovery, but I can't comment on that until that day if it occurs!”
