The website was simple and easy to navigate but I was disappointed to find I did not get the '14 months for the price of 12 offer' I thought I was buying.

Only just joined but the set-up process was quick and easy and the information on the various packages available was simple and clear. The communication to confirm my request was also very speedy. So far so good!

Joining GEM was very easy; I decided to choose GEM after reading a great deal of reviews online. AA Green Flag and RAC are the ones you would traditionally choose, but GEM always came out on top.

Very good value and a simple sign up process. Yet to use them for breakdown, but hoping that if I do all is as smooth as joining.

The joining process was very simple. The amount of cover for the price is excellent. I had a query about the weight of my vehicle and if it qualified. The lady on the phone was very helpful and got back to me the next day. The cost seems to be around half the normal charge of the AA for virtually same cover.

If only all online experiences were this easy! Clear explanation of what you were buying and simplicity itself to cover both the drivers in our household. If the recovery service itself proves as efficient and user friendly - it will have been money well spent.

Looked for the right cover to suit my needs and GEM Motoring Assist ticked all the boxes and great value compaired to the other suppliers like AA and RAC etc.

I tried to call to get some advice on a quote and after 12 minutes on the line was cut off, both bad points in my book, the main reason for trying to find a new company to cover us was the RAC very poor response times on the phone. Tried the live chat option, again this isn't really a live chat just away to get someone to email you back. Things turned around somewhat once I was talking to Alison Gorman via email, would have given at least a Good and possibly a Very good if I could get the information I needed, and clarification of some aspects of what you offer on your T&C's. The 2500kg was particularly confusing as ours like many camper vans is 3500kg. It should be made clear that panel van conversions are covered unto 3500KG, currently that is not clear. Ease of communication is very important to me as a customer, I hate having to go through lots of press this and press that options. I would like to speak to a REAL person asap.

Looks good so far. Bit early to see if a company is as good as you expect! Confused with the other choice (where one pays, and then claim back) Would like more info, as it mentions a claim limit in many places.
