My wife called for assistance with tyre change and concern over possible brake problem. Technician "went the extra mile" to check and re assure her. Very quick response altogether great service

Excellent company from phoning up to getting picked up everything ran smoothly even the recovery agent said they were the best out there I’ve been a member for 2 years and it’s the first time I had to use them my membership is up in may and I’ll definitely be renewing gives you a piece of mind knowing you have breakdown cover.

Had a blowout of my tyre rang them person on end of phone wanted all my membership details wasnt concerned about me left me on hold for over ten minutes then asked me all over again about my membership which i paid all in one go a member of the public helped me dont use this company

It's the first time we have had to use GEM and we had such a positive service. Having broken down on the A30, our car had completely died, after having a conversation with the GEM representative, we were met by a brilliant technician within the time stated. Our car was not repairable at the scene so we were driven with car to the nearest recovery garage at Hillfield at Oakhapmpton. The service provided was second to none. As our car was not repairable we were able to "borrow" a car to continue our journey back to the West Midlands. Just a few days later our car was delivered to us and the borrowed car was returned. I fully recommend GEM and the service we received was excellent. Thank you so much.

I’ve only recently joined GEM (based on the 5* reviews, but you never really know until you’ve experienced something yourself, do you?) then was been unlucky enough to have had TWO burst tyres in the past three weeks. The service I received on both occasions was outstanding in every way. Not only getting to me quickly (less than half an hour the second time, when I was stuck at the side of a busy main road). I was also called several times during each call-out to check that I was ok (single woman, etc). I’d been unhappy with the firm I’d used previously (I’d had a breakdown and they said it wasn’t covered) so wanted total cover and peace of mind this year. Worth every penny of the premium. I feel really reassured that should I need another call-out I’ll be well looked after. Five star service. Thank you GEM (and no, I don’t know anyone who works for them, lol!).

I had punture on busy country road i tried to use the app was waste of time so i rang them the gentleman on the phone was more interested in if i had membership he put me on hold came back 15 minutes later and asked me about my membership again yet i pay annually he then said he would send someone i luckily had a member of the public help me not using Gem again going back to AA

Attended at the stated time but couldn't transport because the garage shut on Sat night. Breakdown to garage 1st thing Mon. Alas garage initially thought they couldn't find fault but GEM willing to retrailer to dealer. The garage eventually found fault in time and BKdown was not needed. GEM helpful at all times. Most satifying service during a trying time.

My electric car broke down on a busy roundabout in Bakewell Derbyshire. GEM arrived within 45 minutes of it being arranged with their call centre, loaded the car onto their vehicle and took myself, my passenger and the car to the Fiat dealership in Derby. Brilliant service. Thank you.

Been members for 2 years. Had to use the service after the car failed to start. Was a bit apprehensive but worries were unfounded. App was easy to use. Response to request was within 2 mins. Kept fully informed of breakdown service which arrived just outside of the quoted hour time. Considering we’re in a rural area we were more than happy with that, after speaking to others who are with the major breakdown companies and have had to wait 4+ hours. Breakdown was fixed by a very friendly, efficient mechanic with 30 mins. Would not hesitate to recommend GEM motoring assist to anyone.

Friendly and efficient response to my telephone call, assistance arranged which arrived within 40 minutes and problem with a nasty puncture sorted within an hour of the call. Impressed that a 'check text' to check arrival came in so felt well looked after - thank you GEM. Only the third time I've needed them in umpteen years but it just works!

I first took out GEM membership in the early 1980s following a friend's recommendation. I have used it twice, so far as I remember, but have always been reassured to know that it would be available if my car broke down - and as it's growing older this is an increasingly likely event. Most recently, as it happens, I needed GEM when I picked up a nail in a back tyre. I tried to deal with this myself but was defeated by the wheel being corroded onto the hub so I rang GEM. The telephone response was immediate, a mechanic arrived within twenty minutes or so and put on the emergency wheel speedily, and there was subsequently a telephone call from GEM to check that the job had been done to my satisfaction. I sent the invoice to GEM that day (Monday) and was reimbursed on Friday. I was very pleased with the service I received from GEM and recommend it highly.
