So far so good until i break down i cant say anything, apart from customer service is good far.

Long time (back in the days of the Guild of Experienced Motorists) since I used the breakdown service, (thank goodness), however it was easy, trouble free and claiming was quick and simple.

I found Gem really easy to join. I feel confident that they will be there when I need them. The only thing when Joining my surname came up as Mr John and my surname is Alton. So it should be Mr Alton. I don't know how that has happened.

I can’t rate them because fortunately I had no occasion to use them. I will say it was very easy to renew my subscription and person who I spoke to was most helpful. Very impressed.

Relatively straightforward to join online though a little confusing to find the right buttons for Personal cover. This was clarified by a quick and helpful phonecall. After some years with a different company I am looking rorward to enjoying the excellent value for money that GEM represents.

I needed break down cover for myself and my partner on any cars we drive. I refuse to use direct debits, I didn't want my renewal payments automatically paid from my credit card and I wanted hard copy policy documents. I'm old fashioned but it is for good reason. So I was delighted to find GEM met these essential criteria. That is why I chose GEM.

Annoying that they give a discount for new members but loyal customers are penalised by paying over £16 more for their loyalty when renewing the annual policy.

Very sensibly priced and like the idea of me personally being covered for whatever vehicle I'm driving. Hope don't have to call on the service but it is a lovely peace of mind to have it as I have 4 cars and 7 motorbikes! If i do have a breakdown I hope the service is as good as Gem say it is - which I am sure it will be. I have only broken down twice in 58 years of motoring! Thank you Gem your service up to now has been spot on - thank you

I've just renewed for our second year. We're very impressed by the service as we had to ask for help twice in our first year (nothing for 7 years prior, changed provider to GEM and had two flat tyres in less than 10 months). Renewal process was also very simple, a few clicks away and it was done. Renewal quote was also competitive, it made sense just to renew directly. Very happy so far.
