“Polite call centre staff, better response time than the other 2 major Breakdown Services, very helpful recovery personel. Cheaper than many organisations and GEM Magazine is a good read all in all Gem gives us confidence to travel the roads of Britain.”

“In the last year I had to call twice, due to your garage putting the wrong part on my car ! Your call centre ask two many questions. Name / postcode/ membership number. Should be enough. There isn't a good time to break down. Little empathy goes a long way.”

“Having had to use the breakdown service while the car was parked outside the house we were happy with the response time to the call. We were taken aback by the call from GEM's contractor demanding payment even before the rescue vehicle had arrived which was repeated when the engine cut out immediately after the first rescue vehicle had left and a second had to be sent. However all was settled by GEM without delay.”

“I called GEM out when the car I was driving broke down. They said they would be with me within the hour and they were. When the chap came he was very helpful, friendly and professional and was very concerned for my safety. He got the car started but as he wasn't convinced that it would get me home safely he put it on the back loader and took us to a garage of my choice. I have just renewed my membership and have recommended GEM to my friends and family.”
