“I've been with GEM motoring Assist for a number of years now and on the few occasions that I have had to use the service as been easy and efficient, reporting the incident has been has been dealt with swiftly and with friendliness. Particular attention is given to lone woman and adults with children. The on the road crew from the locality that you find yourself in, are always friendly and professional. Lastly the claiming back monies paid out for the road assistance is dealt with promptly and efficiently. Very happy to remain with Gem. Thank you”

“I have only once needed assistance and that was a number of years ago, no amount of servicing or maintenance of the car could have helped me. It was due to a pothole taking out two tyres. Along with 6 other cars that night all rescue companies where involved but although we were the 5th car involved GEM arrived first I have never looked back and renew every year. Peace of mind :-)”

“Went to GEM website after seeing the Which recommendations. Very user friendly website. Able to enrol myself and my wife for a year with no trouble. Everything I needed cover for is included in the price. Good online motoring magazine is interesting reading. I should have looked for an alternative to the RAC years ago. Got the feeling I was being ripped off by them. Their last renewal quote was almost £270. GEM charged £110 for the same.”

“Joining was very easy & the rates are very reasonable. I have now cancelled with the AA, they basically told me I was paying more for them because of the name. Actually I'm wanting to spend my money on good service and value, not what the companies called. Time will probably tell on service though I hope I never have to call.”

“Quick and easy to sign up as a member of GEM Motoring Assist. Was a RAC member since 1972, that's 44 years, but still I am subbing new members!!! As with the RAC, who I only used a handful of times in all those years, I hope not to use GEM to often as I look after my cars and bikes, but you never know? From the feedback I have had about GEM they will be there if and when I need them. Thank you in advance.”

“Very straightforward. Wasn't able to setup a direct debit for some reason (suspect bank issue), but paying by card was as easy as expected. The option to pay by Paypal is also a handy alternative.”

“Everything very efficiently sorted out as always. (Much better than 2 other well known breakdown companies!) The recovery man turned up within 20 minutes and had me back on the road 10 minutes later. Result!”

“We broke down recently while on our way to Birmingham, contacted GEM and was greeted by a very friendly person (young lady didn't quite catch her name) who promptly put me at my ease and explained the procedure, the mechanic arrived within the time slot but, there was a slight miscommunication as our vehicle wasn't drive-able and we needed a low loader not just a mechanic, this was relayed back to GEM who then re-arranged the appropriate vehicle which arrived and then took us to a local garage of our choosing, apart from the mix up of transport all was handled very professionally and with excellent customer care. I have and will continue to recommend GEM to friends and family, if you should have the misfortune to break down you will certainly be in good hands (assuming you have cover with GEM) 5*s+.
