Took money from my bank without consent following what they call "automatic renewal". Wow..... I would really swear well clear of this company. Sharks does not even come into it. I set up a policy for a spare car last year which we used for a few months while my main car was off the road. They were cheap enough however cheap for a reason. Customer service is non existent. No letters or documents were ever sent through and they rely on you checking your emails religiously. They claimed to have sent an email regarding renewal of the policy which they took to be my consent to an automatic renewal if I did not contact them. I hadn't seen the email as it had gone into my spam folder let alone gone through the small print to see this. They then chose to provide me with a new finance agreement with their third party provider to fund the policy, all carried out under the veiled secrecy of emails going into spam folders. Despite not agreeing to any new finance agreement a direct debit was set up without my consent or knowledge and funds taken for a policy I don't need nor agreed to. This has directly affected my credit rating and left issues with my bank. Having spoken to Kelly at IGO4 today there was very little sympathy and in fact, more emails to try and resolve this. As I said to Kelly, how would she feel if I just dibbed into her bank account and took £50 each month without her consent. Angry and upset she said but still could not see my point as her customer. Again, I asked how she would feel if her poor partner was starving hungry as there was no food on the table as Kelly could not afford to buy food as I had taken £50 from her bank account without her knowledge or consent. Upset she said yet could not see my point. IGO4, your staff, by there own admission, would be angry and upset if I had taken money from them, can you really not see why I am so angry and upset with what you have done ? PLEASE.... if you read this then pay a little bit more for your insurance and go with a reputable company who cares about there customers.

Hi, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. Auto-renewal is the common processed used by the majority of insurance companies. This means you aren't left uninsured if you do forget to renew your policy which could lead to convictions and/or fines. We do advise the main way we communicate is via emails and documents would have been sent out via email, they are also available at any time via the "My policy" section of our website. In regards to emails going into a spam folder, this would be done by your email provider. The renewal invite sent out does state several times that the policy will be set to auto-renew, we don't hide this in the small print. We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the service you've received. If you can send us a private response with your details we can discuss this with you. Thanks, Vicky

If I could give 0 stars I would. The fact that they use their poor process and quality of information as an excuse to charge you more to sign up should have been the first clue for what a garbage company this is. Do not be fooled by enticing looking offers, you can spend your money better elsewhere. They are good if you never have to rely on them to actually deliver a service. After our car was hit by a 3rd party and we were advised by igo4 to use the 3rd party service to protect our no claims, they then create an endless loop of bureaucracy in order to get your no claim certificate, want to charge you for the cancellation of the insurance because the 3rd party insurer deems it a write-off, in addition they tack on another £105 "other charges" with zero explanation. Short story, steer clear at all costs and rather stick with the established and real professional organisations.

Awful. Inspire claims...on the line 1 hour 40 mins no one picking up. They don't return phone calls or emails. I was told 3 different times they'd call me back with car valuation, no word. Still waiting. They also refused to tell me where my car was recovered to despite me being the owner! I'm still waiting for a valuation price.......

I didnt renew my insurance at the end of the last policy, I went with a competitor based on a price saving of over £130 per year. I have no idea why IGo4 jacked up their premium so much, I have never had an accident so have maximium NCD. Now they are penalising me for NOT renewing by slapping me with a charge which I have no idea what it is for other than for the directors back pocket bunce. They even called in a debt recovery company to collect!!! They havent even had the decency to explain to me what the charge is for. Scammers dont [ I ] go there!!

I had my car insurance at a very low price, the only positive here. I've never had to claim (ever), and recently changed cars. I called up to cancel my policy. Naturally we all agree to our insurance terms but don't necessarily remember the fees, or even predict having to cancel. So, when I asked to cancel, I found I was being stung for £75 admin fee (£75!!!). A quick google suggests that apparently this is one of the highest cancellation fees. The remaining refund I was expecting (4 months of the policy left) should've left me in pocket, if not for that exorbitant fee, so in fact I ended up owing them £8. I asked for a good will gesture waiver of the fee in exchange for not writing this bad review, to be told the manager said no because they only usually refund if they've made a mistake. The person on the phone then said "it sounds like blackmail" after I told them I would be leaving this review. The actual insurance alone I can't rate because I never had to claim. But the cost of cancellation alone and the unwillingness to write off £8, especially given that I've just thrown money at them and never claimed, only to be told "it sounds like blackmail" when I planned to leave a legitimate, factual review, leaves a bad taste. Cheapest insurer out there for the car I insured, but I guess you get what you pay for.

AVOID THIS INSURANCE COMPANY !!!!! I wanted to cancel my policy but this people charging me the cancellation fees of 75 pounds though there is nothing stated on THEIR policy documents they provided to me at the time of purchase . This is kind of day light robbery and I definitely wont pay them (I have prove ) and will take them to the small customer court.

Would give them 0 if I could - currently on hold and have been for about 25 minutes so far. Their website is a scam and doesn't give you all the information you need. They try to get as much money out of you as possible - I am now trying to resolve this with them, I asked to speak to a supervisor who has spoken to me for 3 minutes in a very flippant manner and put me on hold as he cannot answer my question. I doubt very much he is going to pick this call back up. Customer service is awful. Stay well clear so you do not get any hidden charges, extortionate increases in premium if you change your car and better customer service

STAY AWAY!!! I insured my car with inspire through igo4. They wanted me to send copies of the front and back of my drivers licence and proof of my no claims discount. I sent copies of my licence and sent them the email from my previous insurers stating i had no claims discount. They did’nt accept this as proof. I phoned them and explained thats all i had and the agent then contacted my previous insurer and confirmed everything was ok. I was hounded everyday with various emails regarding this and amongst them they had also requested a copy of my v5c form. I then sent a cooy of this. A day later they cancelled my policy because i didnt send a copy of the inside of the v5c. I also have now lost my deposit and they have charged me £75 cancellation fee!! I am now screwed for future policies now!! DISGRACE. I will be in touch with the ombudsman if this issue is not resolved.

Then when asked for a manager call back I have had no corrosipondice still then they rang demanding my outstanding balance saying that they can see my complaint and don’t know why nobody’s has rang 100% the finically ombudsmen will be involved after today

AVOID AT ANY COST! Spent hours calling to try to get a green card, been promised several times but nothing delivered, introduced formal complain, not received any complain acknowledgement. Long wait on call center, very polite and appear to try to be helpful (they probably are) but backoffice definitely non existent. Insurance with "Inspire motor", only phone number is claim management company, that revert you to "policy team" for anything else which is, of course, iGO4 phone number. No real contact details, even financial ombudsman got lost... Can't imagine what putting a claim would be like

If there was a rating to report less than one star, I would have chosen that! In summary: DO NOT USE iGO4 and save yourself the stress. We experienced water leak from a vacant neighbour's house from a water tank in their loft (3rd March 2018), which came through to both my kids' bedrooms and flooded our dining room. In summary 50% of our house was out of action. It took over a month post the leak for iGO4's to communicate with us and approve builders to remove fitted furniture and all the plaster to allow brickwork to dry. This is despite us chasing them several times a week. iGO4 are a broker and don't handle any claims, who outsource to Towergate to manage the claim, who in turn outsource to Direct Group as the loss assessor. Every time I called iGO4 to complain on lack of progress, they washed their hand and told me to call Towergate....I called Towergate and they told me to call Direct Group. None of these firms take complaints seriously and drag out your claim. It then took a further month for the drying firm to be approved. Then they removed the drying equipment prematurely and had to bring it back as our neighbour's weren't drying their walls properly, which they were aware of as I took my drying firm over their to show them (I had a set of keys from the old lady owner to look after the house as she was in an old people's home, whilst her brother was trying to sell the house) The insurance dragged their feet approving the start of the building work and payment of some of the work, to the extent we were threatened with legal action from the builders. As a result of the poor service, lack of responsiveness we had to sought advice from an Independent Loss Assessor to push our claim through with the insurance company. We are trying to push for the claim against my neighbour's insurance company, which my neighbour has agreed with, but iGO4 are not actioning this. It's taken 11 months to get the house fully repaired back to normal, since the leak, whilst other neighbour's have managed to build and decorate a double extension in half the time! We had to manage and chase the claim continuously, where iGO4 and the companies they outsourced to were very disorganised and not proactive at all. It's been a stressful 11 months we could have done without. Speaking with a friend of mine who own's his own building firm, he suggested all the work should have taken less 4 to 5 months!

I forwarded my Proof of No Claims from my previous insurers, eSure, to iGO4 but that wasn't enough. I emailed eSure and they sent my a headed and logo-ed jpeg. That wasn't enough either. I called eSure, which was odd because all my dealings with eSure had thus far been online. They gave me a number to give to iGO4, for iGO4 to call, to verify my no-claims bonus. I calked iGO4 and gave them the information. I was told that they didn't have the facility to contact eSure. I said there's nothing else I can do. They said they'd see what they could do. I then get an email telling me my no-claims is verified but because I gave them false information (which I hadn't done. I had passed on two emails from eSure both showing I had four years no-claims but iGO4 said I'd told them I had 5) that my premium would go up by several £'s a month but I was also going to receive a 'Change made during the contract' fee of £35. I called them back and said that was ridiculous and that I wasnted my deposit back as I was cancelling the policy. (You do get 14 days to change your mind but this didn't seem to register). I was told I would only get £18 back from my £155.32 deposit. I politely told the chap to......ignore my cancellation but to put me through to his supervisor. He said he could, as a gesture of goodwill, remove the 'change during contract fee' but that my policy would still cost me a several £'s more due to the 'clerical error' as he now put it. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I go with the least expensive insurer unless that is a reputable and well known company. If they had given me back my full deposit I would not be a customer of theirs anymore. Beware !
