For me iGO4 was a cheap insurance without much hustle. All until the insurance expired and instead of 3-400 pounds offer they gave me 1200 pounds offer with 10years ncd and no claim. Wrote to customer service and complaint service only to receive an email saying sorry you left whilst I was looking to insure my car for the next year. Scammers I say! I would not recommend to anyone so beware of the quiet sheep...

Hi, We do apologise that you’re disappointed with the experience you have had with us and would happily discuss any aspects of this experience further with yourself. When it comes to renewal, we get offers from our entire panel of insurers that we work with for your next policy year based on your details and risk factors. It could well be the case where the insurer that you were with has not come back to us with an offer for your renewal and we then have to seek from the next cheapest insurer to offer yourself. We accept that sometimes this can be more expensive than your previous policy year but we unfortunately have no control over the prices that the insurers set for your information. I hope this has answered some of your questions and would be happy to answer any further ones you may have. Kind Regards, Dylan

iGO4 = Secret contract renewals without your consent & Debt Collections. Be VERY careful taking out a policy with iGO4. I took out a year policy and paid in full. The policy ended in December 2019 and I didn't hear from them until January 2020 when I came home to a letter saying I owed iGO4 money. "How could I owe them money if I paid in full?" I thought. I wrote a letter back to their customer services manager, but I didn't get a reply. Oh no, you won't get a reply. Instead of a reply they just passed the account onto debt collections and added more charges onto the account. After speaking to the debt collection agency, I've found out iGO4 had renewed my contract without my consent and without even notifying me. That's right... iGO4 entered me into a CONTRACT without my CONSENT or KNOWLEDGE. I didn't receive any documents in the post telling me about my new policy. If I had received these documents I could have cancelled under the 14-day cool of period. Isn't it a coincidence how they don't send you any letters in the post until AFTER the 14-day cool off period? So they now claim I owe them money, for a service I didn't ask for, which they signed me up to, without my consent or knowledge, and without giving me a chance to respond or reply. If you want to end up wasting hours of your life battling debt collection agencies and making claims with the Financial Conduct Authority then go ahead and choose iGO4. Otherwise, avoid them and choose a different insurance company.

They have hounded me for money for renewed policy even tho I didn’t renew it . Now getting debt collector letters . Stay clear of them

iGO4 rips off its customers any chance they get. My policy was paid in full and I sold the car 2 weeks before my policy lapses. I called iGO4 to cancel my insurance and they charged me £65. This is completely unreasonable and they kept saying it's the policy. No flexibility whatsoever even though I had zero claims and paid my policy in full. This is bad profit, I won't be returning, and will inform my friends and family to avoid iGO4.

Underwriter for iGo4, Inspire, are a disgrace. Car was stolen 5 months ago but recovered by council and impounded after 4 weeks. My car is still sat in impound after Inspire failed to recover it and is now being destroyed by council for collection failure. Inspire took my keys and all documents before car was recovered by police. I have no contact from Igo4 or Inspire and they have ignored my repeated requests to recover my vehicle. All complaints have been ignored so it is now proceeding with Ombudsman. This claim should have been settled months ago as a straightforward claim. No reason given for continued delay. DO NOT USE Igo4!!!!!

I received an email from this outfit claiming that I owed them £71.00 + £25 admin costs (LOL). I phoned them up after checking a proposal that I was sent and the customer service agent had put 2 x incorrect information in the proposal. I called them up, as I was not happy. My advice "Teach your staff too listen and not make up information as they see fit!" I'll be damned if they think I'm even entertaining the thought of me paying this premium. I feel I have been deceived and lied too.

My dealings with IG04 use to be great but when my car got scrapped and I had to canx my policy and open a new policy went bad a customer service man was so belittling to me saying it was my fault and I had to press him to pass me onto a supervisor called Kelly to be fair she was very polite and helpful but it has left a taste now and am considering moving to another company after years of loyalty goes nowhere

Terrible Customer service!! extortionate missed payment fee's! They charge an instant £35 late payment fee! I have made a number calls to avoid this fee. My first call was on the day on the missed direct debt. I was told I didn't need to worry as the payment would be taken at a later date. Then I received an email informing me of the fee. I called again to see if the fee could be avoided as I had attempted to pay by phone, to which I was told this wasn't possible. I then spoke to a manager who confirmed that the fee will apply and he suggested I raise it as a complaint. I then received a call back from a manager a few days later to confirm the fee would be refunded off my next bill. I called today to confirm the amount of my next payment and discovered the refund of the fee hadn't been applied. I was then put on hold while they listened back to my call's to find they hadn't kept a record of their out going call to me. I was then told it would be pointless to make a complaint and the customer service person did not want to pass me to a manager. I was then told another company is responsible for the fee and that they would never apply a refund under any circumstance.

RUBBISH........................claim made on 13th November and still not heard anything. Been promised a call back from the repair garage assessing the damage twice and including the conversation i had with Lydia today 3 times. I've even had to hire a courtesy car whilst i wait for the damaged on my car to be assessed. So many 3rd parties involved everyone just passes the buck. Spoke to Lydia today to understand the complaints process, asked to speak to manager but thats all she could do was log the complaint and said someone would investigate it and call me back. doubt this will happen.

Had constant emails asking to send proof of NCD, this was after receiving an email confirming they had already received it, the emails continued and said they would cancel my policy, when I informed them I had held my licence for 10 years not 9, they increased my premium and charged me admin fee, all within the first ten days of choosing this company, which usually doesn't incur a charge with other insurance companies. Avoid.

Be careful with these shysters. Been trying to cancel the renewal of my policy but there is no way to do it online. Sent them several emails and no response. Instead received an email thanking me for renewing! Also, they charge £60 to renew your policy. Avoid this lot like the plague, awful company with awful customer service. Thank God we never had a claim if this is how they treat their customers over a simple matter.

Rubbish service. We filled in an online form that asked how many years we had a licence. The nearest was 6 years. Later we were told the licence was not for 6 years but 5 years plus and we have to pay an extra £83. What a rip off! If they asked the actual date on their form we would have put it down. Tried to get them to explain why 5.8 years was different from 6.00 years and they couldn’t. Asked them to refer it to the underwriter and they refused. If this is how poor their service is with a new customer, what can a claimant expect? Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Avoid this lot.

Hi, We do ask on our quote journey for the full pass date on your licence. If a comparison website has been used however some ask for this differently. In regards to cost change, this would be up to the insurer when the change in date is made. If you'd like to discuss this further please send us a private response with your details. Thanks, Vicky
