I Had a helpful agent who set up my insurance. I wasn't impressed that my premium increased, by £14 and excluded breakdown cover, because my job title changed from care worker to support worker! They're pretty much the same jobroles. Bizarre!

I chose iGO4 based upon a competitive quote. Initial impressions are positive, but the process to upload documentation could be improved. It isn't clear that both sides of the driving licence photocard need to be submitted. Also, evidencing previous no claims discount was painful: the 'statement of fact' received from my previous insurer (and the only document detailing my NCD) wasn't deemed to be sufficient and required a long phone call to iGO4 resolve the issue. I thought that insurers had an industry-standard way of sharing this information?

Before checking my financial situation and me even signing for the insurance, this company had already taken my first instalment payment. I found this rather unsettling

They got confused when I reinstated my policy by starting again rather than renewing. I needed to renew early as I was going to be abroad.

I forwarded my Proof of No Claims from my previous insurers, eSure, to iGO4 but that wasn't enough. I emailed eSure and they sent my a headed and logo-ed jpeg. That wasn't enough either. I called eSure, which was odd because all my dealings with eSure had thus far been online. They gave me a number to give to iGO4, for iGO4 to call, to verify my no-claims bonus. I calked iGO4 and gave them the information. I was told that they didn't have the facility to contact eSure. I said there's nothing else I can do. They said they'd see what they could do. I then get an email telling me my no-claims is verified but because I gave them false information (which I hadn't done. I had passed on two emails from eSure both showing I had four years no-claims but iGO4 said I'd told them I had 5) that my premium would go up by several £'s a month but I was also going to receive a 'Change made during the contract' fee of £35. I called them back and said that was ridiculous and that I wasnted my deposit back as I was cancelling the policy. (You do get 14 days to change your mind but this didn't seem to register). I was told I would only get £18 back from my £155.32 deposit. I politely told the chap to......ignore my cancellation but to put me through to his supervisor. He said he could, as a gesture of goodwill, remove the 'change during contract fee' but that my policy would still cost me a several £'s more due to the 'clerical error' as he now put it. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I go with the least expensive insurer unless that is a reputable and well known company. If they had given me back my full deposit I would not be a customer of theirs anymore. Beware !

Great price, lowest by far and had the smallest excess however their customer service is not great. Not sure if the guy I was talking to was having a bad day but he was very confused with what was happening & it took a while to get my quote from Compare the Market & then proceed to purchase the quote. Finally, however, it all went through & I've now been insured with them for a couple of weeks. Overall I am satisfied, but I've deducted two stars because of my experience with the call center.

I changed cars from a Peugeot 1007 to a Ford Mondeo and my insurance jumped 200 pounds but as I am tied into a contract with yourself I have to stay where I could get a new policy else where for half the price any other company I have delt with was a £20 - £35 change over admin fee I feel that is a bit much . And another thing you can't submit this review review with less than a 3 star what is the point in asking people for there score and dictating what the minimum score I can leave seems petty don't ask people to give a review if you don't want there truthful answer I was going to leave a 2 star Regards Daniel Cochrane

When quotes appear on gocompare, they need to show total cost by monthly payments not just the initial quote. The final difference between the pop up quote and final monthly payment total was 33% extra almost £100 difference.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. In regards to the Quote found on GoCompare, this should match what is shown when it takes you through to our website. We have no say on how GoCompare display this. If you have not changed the payment type on GoCompare and it is displayed to make one full payment, and then go through to our website and choose to pay by monthly direct debits, this will look different as interest is added on monthly payment plans. However if you did change this to monthly payments on GoCompare this should show the same amount as on our website. Thanks Vicky

I am.happy with my cover. However I do not have any information on my breakdown cover it who to contact in the event I do break down. I have no contact information or a police number to confirm who I am so they can provide me with break down cover.

In regards to your breakdown cover, unfortunately as this is an optional extra this cover is provided by an external partner which is RAC breakdown, we are unable to provide documents for this. However if you would like to go onto our website and the existing customer section, there is an option on there for policy wording in here you can find the details for all the optional extras including breakdown cover.
