I am in my mid 40's and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with an insurance company. I just called the customer serivces number and in typical fashion for iGO4 it took 18mins before the call was answered, and a further 2 mins to cancel the account. If in any doubt at all about this componany I suggest you call the customer support number (NOT the new customer number) and listen to the automated message. This is not a free call number and the first 2 mins are taken up by a message about T&Cs. This is before you even get to the 'press 1 for...' options. I believe this is deliberate in order to deter callers - afterall, iGO4 is not an insurer but rather a middle-man taking its fee and passing the work on to its underwriters.

Terrible company! DO NOT USE Took out Car Insurance with them for the year , then after the year was up went elsewhere for insurance for half the price. 2 weeks later, they sent me an email to say I owed a cancellation fee!!! I only took a yearly policy and told them on email I was leaving beforehand. The demanded to know who I was insured with and wanted proof. I sent a screen shot of my new policy but it wasn’t enough. They wanted the pdf certificate. They never said this on email just deceived to charge me without any notice. The customer service is terrible and there is no manager to speak to when requested. Instead they advise of 24hr call back. I work for a water company that has 8million customers but yet customers still get a call back within 90mins!! Shocking to say the least. Please stay well clear of them

Hi, thanks for making us aware of this - we are sorry for the experience you have had. Please be assured that we take our customer service very seriously. With regards to the renewal, we advise in the renewal invitation we issue up to 21 days before the renewal, that the policy will automatically renew unless we are told otherwise. This is to ensure our customer's are not driving without insurance which is a criminal offence. This is the worst company I have ever used, I've uploaded my documents three times, I can even quote the date and time sent, twice I've signed and returned my credit agreement, when I call it's a run around trying to get through then I'm told to leave a message, when I do get through it's as if it's a call centre in India so there's a delay, and then they tell me to call back later, I've now been told my insurance is going to be cancelled, is there an ombudsman I can approach about this, now they want to charge me a cancellation fee, please do not use this company, I really cant empathize just how much of a bad company this is

Cancelled insurance after not replying to my emails. Wanted a photograph of my driving license that is having its address changed - NOT TOLD THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP. Customer service was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE and couldn’t even access documents. Couldn’t state where it legally said this.

Wont take payments other than over the phone and they declined 20x !! Most different accounts different banks different card holders?? How on earth is this happening. Something cant be right.

In some cases, a payment may not be successful and this will be because of insufficient funds or, because the bank has prevented the payment coming through as a fraud prevention measure. Shocking service. Took a double payment off me and have not returned it. I called them twice and got a bag of excuses on both occasions after being put on hold for 30 mins. It's now been 2 weeks and still no refund. Avoid this company if you can they are absolutely terrible I will be switching as soon as I get my money back (if).

Avoid this company at all cost they are robbing thieves. Was challenged on date I past my driving test was told by IGO4 it was incorrect which would cost me additional money. I got the quote through go compare, so I double checked and all my information with go compare it was 100% correct and genuine that I provided to the website. They also pulled me up on a incident back in 2018 where someone else drove into my car, at the time I wasn't in my vehicle. IGO4 charged me £225 + £25 on top of my yearly annual insurance even when I got written proof the incident was a non fault claim by myself from my previous car insurance wise driving. IGO4 refused to accept the full proff from wise driving insurance after I had spent 2 hours on the phone to obtain this information to clear up the £250 extra charge IGO4 slapped me with. This all happened after IGO4 had already taken £120 deposit for a policy I wish I didn't enter into. If you like getting robbed, large excessive headaches, mixed with hours of inconvenience to be given the run around this is the insurance company for you GOOD LUCK!!!

Please be aware of sneaky cancellation charges you cannot get out of. My car was being sold, let the insurance auto-renew, then just 20 days later, my cancellation charges are: Insurance - £11 - No issues Extras - £50 - You have to pay the full year! Not what you've used Cancellation Fee - £65 - Is what it is Renewal Fee - £60 - for what? Total fee to cancel after 20 days - £186 Total premium for the year for the car insurance - £276! I suggest, don't sell your car if you've just renewed, write it off and let them pay you some insurance money out! Complaint has been filed, and financial ombudsman has been contacted

Hi, thank you for taking you time to leave your feedback. We state in our terms and conditions that we will verify the information you have provided and your driving history. Any previous claims are logged on the Claims Underwriting Exchange by the insurer who handled the claim. If the information you have provided does not match the database we will amend the policy details accordingly. After someone crashed into me, I rang igo4 and was passed around, no one actually wanted to help me. Not down to them apparently! No communication at all unless I chase everything up. Will never use again. Really a big let down. Would have been a lot less stressful had they have helped me. DISAPPOINTED

After paying for a new policy my premium was amended and increased by 20% on the first day. Check the small print!!!!

I have been treated absolutely awfully. You cancelled my car insurance all because you did not receive the back of my driving licence, which you never stipulated. I sent you the docs I.e. no Claims and driving licence but you then bombarded me saying you had not received the docs when you had. You should have made the driving licence stuff obvious from the outset. Your inhumanity shocks me greatly. When I tried to explain the confusion, the lovely assistant told me that the company would be unwilling to reinstate. Appalling customer care and now you are judging me a fee for cancelling. A right bunch of money grabbing shysters. Due to the inability to grasp the fact that they should not be charging additional admin fees to change a policy which was not yet in force and providing extreme difficulty in speaking to their customer service department I decided to cancel my intended policy. With no warning they intend to charge me admin fees of £85. They are a disgrace and should not be trusted. A total disgrace to the insurance world of which I was once part. I advise anyone out there to avoid this shady company.

Two payments taken, I’ve called customer service and quite rude and abrupt with me, advising only one payment has been taken but it’s clear on my bank statement and I cannot speak with finance until Monday. Really disappointing customer service

You don’t make it clear we are entering into a credit agreement rather then just paying u for car insurance - good job I checked the contract, I have cancelled my policy and got a refund

As we and Close Brothers Premium Finance are both regulated bodies, we have an obligation to inform you about the use of a third party finance provider before you take out insurance with us. You are also asked to provide you consent, if you are happy with this arrangement, before accepting the quote. They can not even supply with a telephone number or email address, they have renew my insurance add extra £623.00 and they send a letter but is no contact information to cancel policy with them next is my deposit been lost i have been last 3 day try to contact them
