Great customer service. I phoned on two occasions to ask lots of questions, very patient with me and explained everything. The fact I could phone made all the difference to me taking out my new policy. I only gave 4 stars as I'm a new customer so don't know what service would be like if I need help.

I’m happy with Homeprotect. Getting a quote and signing up for insurance was straightforward and hassle-free. The only thing I would flag is that I don’t recall receiving an email or letter notifying me about the upcoming auto-renewal of my policy. Otherwise, a smooth experience overall.

Very easy to renew; we have never made a claim so we can’t comment on how easy that might be. However, we were a bit shocked at the premium increase and restrictions whilst covering our extension building works. It increased the annual payment by around 33%.

The insurance policy is fair in the current market. Customer service however was less than pleasing. The staff who answer the calls are extremely helpful and pleasant, but beyond them it was a struggle to get action on the issue that I needed rectifying. A two week wait in the end.

Chose from an array of quotes from Compare the Market. Competitive price, and offered contents when I had a lodger, which many companies didn't even though I had put that in as a criteria. Simple, easy, hassle free.

I was in the process of extending my holiday and requested my insurer to give me info on what was not/what was covered in my insurance policy and how much would it cost to cover to extend my policy to cover an extra 2 weeks (max 45 days). The gentleman I spoke to basically told me his company could not stop me going on holiday and then read out a long list of exclusions and to me it sounded like if I went on holiday, I had no cover. I then went on Compare the Market and Homeprotect was at the top of the list so I completed an online request for a quote and mentioned my unoccupied period. The resulting quote not only covered the unoccupied period with what seemed fewer exclusions but was also a lot cheaper than I was paying. As they say a 'No-brainer'. I'm over £100.00 better off and with a more acceptable list of exclusions for an unoccupied property. Plus, Customer Services were helpful when contacted for assurance that my policy would/did cover the arranged unoccupied period.

Good site easy to navigate unfortunately it didn't hold all information when I pressed buy so need to call them to update information so please be aware. May just be my phone but not sure!

So far, Homeprotect have been easy to use, clear, simple and good value. Does what it says on the tin, year after year. Never made a claim (hope I never need to!), that’s when you know really how good they are.
