I have been with Home Protect for some time to insure my combi - boiler and receive a yearly service. This years service saw my boiler condemned - although there were no problems with it prior to the visit. No explanation was given except a scant 'general leak' written on the service sheet. Upon telephoning the companty who serviced the boiler I was told they had emailed Homeprotect. Upon telephoning Homeprotect I was offered £49.21 to replace my boiler. No question of repair, no discussion about how to replace it. Needless to say I have cancelled my DD, have a new boiler and won't need to insure it since it guaranteed for 10years and a service only costs £65. I may as well have done this and saved the insurance money each month. Once again trying to gain peace of mind through insurance is a waste of money.

all they have done is taken money from me, this is easy and they ask fora review ?? I can only say average and this is generous, taking money from people isn't difficult. Hopefully I don't need to make a claim, the insurance industry does not have a good reputation but I'm obliged to engage with them, its a condition of my mortgage. 🤦‍♂️

It's my second year with Home Protect. I've renewed yet again because I've found them very responsive and helpful. I always get to speak to a real person on the phone (a real plus) when discussing my cover, and they are available till late in the evenings and Saturdays. Most importantly, their cover and their premiums are very competitive. The only thing I can't comment on is their response to claims, because I have never needed to make any claim with them up to this point!

Terrible service ! Got e mail saying “ click here “ to get an e mail from Homeprotect with a link or instructions how to access my account. Tried this twice without success. Checked spam and not gone there either. Hopeless if this is how it starts !

No issues with the property so can't comment on service. Property was able to be insured by them though when other couldn't. Renewal was transparent but the price had increased by c. £150.

Submitted a claim. Then decided to cancel it as the cost to make good damage was less than the excess. Homeprotect refused to cancel the claim. I now have a claim on my record where they have paid out zero pounds. As a result my premium has gone up from 450 pounds to nearly 1000. Also, don't touch the emergency cover....they couldn't raise a plumber to fix a leak so had to get our own. Awful. Now heading to the insurance Ombudsman to try and get the non claim canceled.

Customer service was really good it was good to actually talk to someone and not an A1 or BOT, happy with the price,let's hope I don't have to make a claim

I was very pleased with the price of the policy, but I had to make a last minute change and I am still waiting for my correct policy documents and price. I have been waiting 3 weeks and have called but no-one can help.

As I've gotten older I naturally worry more about how I'd replace things should something happen. I was quite confused about home insurance and didn't really know where to start but you made it really easy. Now I'm protected my mind is at ease and I van relax a bit more.
