“Adam and was very very helpfull and patient through out our numerous telephone conversations while I was asking many questions. Elaine also who I had spoke to once today was very helpfull, they both showed a general interest in my concerns and reassured me or provided me with alternatives or solutions to my queries. Great”

“Was a bit nervy using these after some of the reviews. However, i had no problems at all. Yes they did phone me and want some stuff, but she explained everything and i got my policy.”

“No problems, quoted me a decent price. They did call me back after going online to take up, they also did licence and address check, so I think a lot of upset reviews could be where people have lied and got found out and then had policy cancelled or increased. 5mths in and no problems, my guess is don't lie to them and you'll be fine”

“AVOID got quote 1800 for my car which am happy to pay as I have only just passed my test then when verified gone up to 2580 scam and now they won't return my deposit shocking AVOID”

“After being completely scammed by Onecalldirect where they tried to up my insurance by 2k for a speeding fine that I called them and informed them was missing. i cancelled and went to this company. I had no problems and even with some small amendments to my policy the change in price was minimal. Early days but a very happy customer so far :-)”

“As with everyone else here, they took our money - over £1,700 in this case - and cancelled our policy without letting us know or refunding us. Basically a massive scam; I dread to think how much interest they earn off un-refunded cancellations. AVOID!”

“Please, do not go near this company. Acorn is a rip off insurance company. Unlike other insurance companies, Acorn do not insure you immediately, or sends you a certificate of insurance rather they would send you an email that they would contact you in 6 working days to validate your details before your insurance starts with them. They would ask you to contact DVLA and obtain your digital drivers licence information and upload same to them, and on the event that you cancel your insurance policy with them even on the first day, they take away 86% of you deposit which you have already paid. Supposing you paid £150.00 deposit they would only refund about £63.00 to you and keep the rest. Their terms and condition twist vital information in order to defraud unsuspecting buyers. They are unfair and opportunist traders. The moment you sign up with them you are at their mercy. If you are looking for a reliable and thrust worthy car insurance company, then Acorn is not the one. Please, stay away from them.”

“Acorn them self was superb couldn't ask for better and there prices are great but when it come to a claim that's when the problems start they put me through to haven claims who didn't care one bit about me or the car they didn't want to pursue my claim against a bigger company and there attitude toward me was appuling”
