“Lovely boots, soft leather, but I decided to return them as I prefer a higher heel. Would have exchanged for "Maybe" style, but unfortunately out of stock in size 3. Customer service was patchy: a young man promised the earth and delivered nothing, then talked to a young lady who was excellent, and most helpful. I think that returns postage should be pre-paid on such an expensive item.”

“I wanted a pair of dark green boots ........Gabor naturally have them. They arrived quickly and fit perfectly as Gabor do half sizes. So perfect product with excellent service.....”

“Wow. £4.49 to return an item means that this is an online shopping experience that I won't be repeating. Boots are great, but paying for returns isn't.”

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we do not have our own courier and use either Royal Mail or DPD to send orders out for customers, where we cover the postage. We do ask customers to pay for returns or take back to a Charles Clinkard store. We do review customers comments and will pass this on. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

“So comfortable and just the right heel height I already had these in navy so the red ones were bound to fit and they did! A lovely muted red colour that will go with anything”

“I ordered a pair of wide fit boots that were too narrow!! I took a risk knowing I’d need to pay for return postage. My feet are a G and the supposed H+ was too tight. I’m disappointed”

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you found this popular boot to be too narrow. They are an H fitting and you may find that if you would like to try on a half size larger, this will give you the extra area within the shoe that you need. “I have other Gabor shoes. Very disappointed with these ankle boots. The website says wide fitting and I also confirmed with the customer service team. As other reviewers have stated they are NOT wide fitting. I had to pay the postage to return which is unusual.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you did not find that these boots were wide enough for you, the reviews are mixed, some saying that they are lovely and roomy and a few people like yourself, who say that they do not seem wide. Your comments will help others when they are browsing. Gabor do a wider fitting which is an H (this boot is a G) or you may find that getting a half size larger, gives you the extra area within the shoe that you need.
