Furniture World is a furniture store selling a wide variety, ranging from sofas, beds, living & dining furniture and accessories.

Furniture World was established in 1984 with a small bricks and mortar store in Redruth, Cornwall. Today, Furniture World has 6 stores across Cornwall and Devon, and a reputable online presence.

We sell across many channels that include Amazon and E-bay where our online business has had significant success which is based on quality customer service and fast delivery of stock from our warehouse based in Cornwall.
We have grown from marketplaces to now running a dedicated website that still keeps a 5* customer service at the core of our business.

Ordered a chest of drawers mid-August. Arrival was delayed for 2 months, and when the item eventually arrived, the marble top of the chest was broken in half. Had significant trouble seeking recollection and a refund, and had to effect a chargeback on my credit card to recover the cost. Awful experience, shoddy customer service and not recommended.

You are no doubt aware we are legally obliged to sort out any issues you experienced with your purchase under the distance selling laws. You took delivery of your chest of drawers on 7th November. Because we wouldn’t give you an immediate refund for the damage without having the goods returned or in the possession of our courier you raised a chargeback on 8th November. We did not dispute that you were due a refund, but we reserve the right to have the goods back in our possession in order to fulfil this. We advised you not to raise a chargeback as this would delay your refund whilst the card company investigate. I understand you have been chasing our online team for the refund today, but unfortunately we are unable to refund whilst the chargeback process is in place. Our understanding is that the chargeback dispute will resolve on 1st December.

I found the price to be very good and both the pre and post sales service to be excellent. My chairs arrived within the expected timeframe, and even though one chair had a bit of damage (not related to Furniture World) as everything was factory sealed, they contacted the manufacturer and I had a replacement part the very next day. Overall an excellent experience and I would have no hesitation in using again.

Love the coffee table, it’s a good weight, wooden legs have quality feel, top looks genuinely like travertine but with being composite not as heavy and non-porous. Only complaint is it was advertised as a nest of tables, but you only get 1. When I re-checked the small print I saw the smaller (nest type) table is an extra £199. I might’ve bought it but too late now with an extra £35 postage not worth it.

Excellent dressing table but you have to be prepared to wait several weeks for delivery from ordering. States “delivery from” on the website so just bare in mind that the wait times maybe a lot longer

I found the ordering process overly complicated, especially add on’s, like stain guard, being per seat, rather than per item? It got sorted out eventually and paid for separately, but could not be added to the original documentation, after initial order was placed?

Really pleased with Furniture World, the Oak City - Milan Oak Large Coffee Table was delivered in just two days. It was well packed with additional external packaging to stop any damage. The coffee table was perfect for what I wanted and looks reall goodand in addion I got this at a great price. I have purchased twice from Firniture World and I'm sure this won't be my last purchase.

Excellent service from ordering to delivering. Table is fabulous and much cheaper than Housing units. Arrived in good time and was kept well informed on delivery information. Would absolutely buy from them again.

The worst service I have ever seen. I made an order in early September. Then I received an email saying it will arrive on the 25th of September. After that, no updates at all. I was waiting for live chat for 2 hours but no one answered. It keeps showing your are number 2 and waiting time is 23 minutes. awful experience.

Good morning I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service you have received regarding your recent order with us , we did have some technical issues over the weekend with our online chat, but it does appear that you did manage to speak to someone . I have looked into the email thread for your order , the email confirmation does state an expected delivery date of the 25th September this was not a confirmed delivery date , the sales team would be in contact once we had received a confirmed booking date into our warehouse . We have tried to contact you several times with an update on your order , unfortunately the emails don’t appear to be going through and we are unable to leave a message on the phone number provided . Please contact the sales team at your earliest convenience , so they can update you
